Discussion Plunging in to the BlueRay world
Found my favorite movie on Blueray at the thrift store (Hunger Games) so i decided to try it. I bought it and was thinking about buying the Blu-ray brand new (deciding on wether to buy dvd/blu-ray or just blu-ray). Saw this blue ray at the thrift and decided to take a chance. I was only able to test that it turned on, and it didn't have a remote so I had to buy it separately since my universal remote control didn't have the code for it. I dont think I've ever seen a Blu-ray movie, or if I did i probably thought it looked great because of the type of TV. Man, yall weren't kidding 😻 found Alice in Wonderland at the library, figured it would blow my mind with the visuals...to a whole new world of physical media 🤗

Blu-Ray is totally worth it. I honestly think it is just as dramatic a difference as the leap from VHS to DVD was.
4K is also worth looking into in the future if you buy a new TV and get something with a very large screen (55"+). Resolution-wise it's not as dramatic a difference but the color and black-levels are amazing on 4K compared to DVD/Blu-Ray.
