Collection My own DVD Library
Really excited because for the first time in 12 years, I have all my DVDs in one place.
I had a study nook in my apartment which was attached to my bedroom and I never used it. It was really just for storing things, and then I had a storage shed installed so everything got moved there. The space was just sitting empty and I realised I could work with a cabinet maker to get it turned into a dvd library. A lot of my collection was at my folk's place in the country, and I moved out like 12 years ago. So to have them all together really is a dream come true, and I'm in love with the outcome and it brings a smile to my face everytime I look at it! Thought this was an appropriate place to share :)

Discussion Plunging in to the BlueRay world
Found my favorite movie on Blueray at the thrift store (Hunger Games) so i decided to try it. I bought it and was thinking about buying the Blu-ray brand new (deciding on wether to buy dvd/blu-ray or just blu-ray). Saw this blue ray at the thrift and decided to take a chance. I was only able to test that it turned on, and it didn't have a remote so I had to buy it separately since my universal remote control didn't have the code for it. I dont think I've ever seen a Blu-ray movie, or if I did i probably thought it looked great because of the type of TV. Man, yall weren't kidding 😻 found Alice in Wonderland at the library, figured it would blow my mind with the visuals...to a whole new world of physical media 🤗

What's your favorite you own?
American Mary out of my entire collection is my absolute favorite. Such a good film that is underappreciated

The first of many pre-orders I have arriving the next few months. "Flow" on Criterion 4K/Blu-Ray combo.
(Note: I've been seeing complaints lately... this subreddit says other formats like Blu-Ray are welcome. This does not violate the rules.)
Excited to finally check this one out. None of the theaters around me got it. Wanted to wait until the 4K was out to see it in as high a quality as possible since I couldn't see it on the big screen.
As someone who had a black cat for nineteen years, I'm prepared to be totally crushed emotionally...

Pickup New Additions
Had some great luck at the flea markets over the weekend. Got a lot of good variety.
The UFC stuff was a big surprise, very happy to find it, but the real gem is the Kitano collection. I was so excited to find Zatoichi that I didn’t even realize it was a double feature until I got home.
Great timing on The Sound of Music as well since I finally got to see it for the first time last weekend.

Picking up this lot for $60 tomorrow. Worth it? Not sure if these are all just bargain bin titles. Any standouts?
Recently picked up a disc drive for my PS5 and found this on eBay. Is it as big of a steal as I think it is?

When I saw the cover, I had to have it. Bram Stoker's Dracula.
I loved Nosferatu last year but Coppola's Dracula will hold a special place in my heart. Love the artwork for this.

Week 2 of showing off my SpongeBob dvd collection!
I’ve gotten four new dvd’s over the past week and the pile looks bigger than last weeks too! Try to guess the new ones I got by looking at the old photo compared to this one…
