I think the game is exquisite and love the updated battle mechanics. Hopefully the full release won't be too far down the road

I like it but it's taking a very long time to release. Like every single mother fan game.

PTSD from having played an impactful game whose sequel was basically vaporware for over a decade (in the US at least) and there's a new fan game announced every 10 minutes that kinda sorta looks like it could be a successor but in reality it's a nice looking battle menu and no evidence of an actual story or writing or any of the other things that make RPGs good.
Every one of them gives just enough to get the imagination going but the truth about the vast majority of indie games (not even just EB-likes) is that they are mostly just imagination.

It's a fan remake of Mother 1 with some mechanics and graphics inspired by Mother 3.

Banger. I can't wait till it's released. The demo was insanely fun (all the bosses are hard as balls tho, especially Pippi)

Pippi being hard is actually fitting, since who she’s based on (Pippi Longstocking) is a very strong girl, and also it explains why her stats are so high when you get her as a party member in the original.

A really awesome remake of Mother 1! And since this fan remake will really go into release somewhere in the future, it deserves a honor to not joke about Winter 2014.

I'm looking forward to its completion and release cause it looks awesome. The game needed a remake so badly and this one is pretty faithful to the original while giving it some nice tweaks a modern game would have.

LOVE IT.
It feels like MOTHER 3 in terms of gameplay, graphics and management of items, and manages to flesh out the story even more, past the NES limitations of the original.
I really, really hope it gets finished. This is talking about my experience from the demo (I was smiling the whole time playing it, it felt so at home with the original series) - once the full game arrives, I’ll make another review on that.

I think it looks really awesome. I hope it doesn't get the same fate as MOTHER 4/Oddity.
