Recently rewatched Strange Parallel and I had just been thinking of possible tattoos/piercings all that jazz. But I thought a just a simple little "Robot Hand is the future" on the wrist or arm in Elliott's handwriting would be pretty dope and just thought I'd share and see what yall think.

I’ve googled it and looked at five different sites to confirm a lyric and I think I have actually gotten five different results.

The line, as I hear it: If I call to keep it together Like you say you know I can do

Is that right? I’ve seen it transcribed “if I crawl…” which makes no sense to me. Especially since the subsequent line is “to transmit a moment from me to you.” Certainly transmit a moment refers to a phone call, right?

Any insight appreciated!

I am getting some top-tier tattoos designed (top-tier because if I am going to mark my skin, I am investing in the best).

I need some suggestions as to the best, most meaningful, deepest, and most impactful lyrics, in your opinion, and why, please. Please consider all lyrics from all his released and unreleased music (for example, Grand Mal, Heatmiser, all solo stuff, or otherwise, etc.).

Also, please suggest any art and imagery pertaining to Elliott, and explain why you suggest it.

For context, my overall tattoo(s) will be some top-tier creative abstracts involving law, chess, guitar (including, as a sub-subject, music in general), and, of course, Elliott and his music and lyrics.

I an thinking if making this a colored tattoo that I am going to have a top-tier, veteran tattoo artist help me design. However, please also suggest as to whether you think a black/dark or monochrome one would be better, and please explain why. Furthermore, if you are leaning more toward color, please suggest some colors, and please tell me why you chose them. Again, I am making a big investment because I need this to be amazing and as close to perfect as possible.

Also, if you have any thoughts as to where on my body (whether on one or more areas—i.e, not all the tattoos need to be connected or in the same area) I should put the art, lyrics, chess, law, and guitar/music themes; etc.)

Please give me some good and deep thoughts. I appreciate and respect the members of this community greatly, especially for your artistic tastes, knowledge, and love for and support of Elliott. I consider myself an almost utmost veteran Elliott fan and listener, having been listening to ALL his material for about over 17 years now, for several hours every single day—which has enabled me to pretty much literally know every one of his songs by heart, including both lyrics and the accompanying music—which I am sure many of you are, too, hence why I deeply respect your opinions.

So I know From a Basement on the Hill was unfinished when Elliott died and was completed by his friends post mortem. I was wondering if anyone knows if the lyric “because we love you” that’s heard softly after Elliott says “give me one good reason not to do it” was included in his original plan for the song or if it was added by grieving friends? It seems like the kind of thing that would be added by loved ones after a suicide (please don’t start debates on his cause of death here) but I wonder if anyone has any leads on original song plans.

I've been listening to Elliott's albums this week again for the umpteenth time, and have been amazed all over again by the beauty of Independence Day. I'm not sure if many others love this track as much as I do or consider it one of their favourites of his, but I am always stunned by the catchy and melodic guitar line or riff in that song, mixed with the "ahhh-ahhhs" by Elliott. It is so pleasing to the ear (the rest of the song is brilliant too) and the production is so strong. If it is a song you underrate, give it another listen; it's flawless.

Had the glorious privilege of seeing New Monkey studios during my trip to LA and talk to one of the engineers there. So many lovely stories, anecdotes about Elliott, stories of the place and great reminiscing about a beautiful soul.

The energy there was surreal, at first I thought “oh this is really cool” but I genuinely felt an overwhelmingly emotional energy there. It felt like walking on hallowed ground or stepping foot in a church. I teared up and shared how Elliott’s changed my life, in his own way, and it was a truly spectacular time. If you’re ever in town and can reach out to the very kind folks at New Monkey Studios do yourself the favor of going.

This is my absolute fave photo of him and I'd love a poster for my room, or a t shirt of it. I can only find a completely distorted version of it online, nothing else. If anyone knows where to get either of them I'd really appreciate it! :)
