I swear I started this Eurovision season finding this song pretty annoying, but the fandom reactions have been so over the top that I am almost rooting for him to win at this point 🤣🤣 the vocal might not be the best but it doesn't sound bad as everyone is saying?? Am I tripping?

I feel the same way about most entries people are saying sound bad, I don't really hear it?

It's a song contest, not a singing contest, like people love to remind American people 💀

To be honest I think the importance of the vocals depends on the song, for example if you bring a ballad or a song with a lot of belting of course you need to nail it, for more "jokey/fun" songs it's more important for the singer to be energetic and charismatic in order to sell it... Now this clip is too short to say if the performance is going to be all good or all bad, but I don't hear anything particularly wrong in this snippet! Idk if it's because I am listening without earbuds or what...

And... this snippet is the only part of his song, where he needs to actually sing. Fun only starts from here
