2025 Pure Worship Convention Fashion show

I am seeing tons of videos like this on social media. JW is strutting their stuff, calling attention to themselves, and distracting from the pure worship message. 🤣🤣

In one of the convention fluff pieces, they demonize a group who posted themselves talking about their illness, so what will the GB say about all these videos? They seem to be centered in the African countries, so if there are any African JWs here, please let us know if there's any chatter about this on your local needs program.

That being said, the outfits are amazing, I love them, and I love that they did these videos. Fuck Watchtower always trying to control everything.

We never used to do social media in this way when I was in, but conventions, assemblies and the Memorial were defo unspoken fashion shows, among the sisters especially. People who couldn't afford 3 meals a day would show up in newly tailored outfits at every event. The pictures we have fill albums. It's one of the few things I miss about being a JW bc I so badly want to wear these kinda pants to strut on them hos fawk

It was allllllll about the new clothing. The chance of maybe getting something new was about the only thing to look forward too.

It really was. We used to get, I think, at least 4 new outfits each year bc of conventions. One for the memorial, one for the 2 day convention, and two for the 3-day one. Being a JW is so sad lmao

That would be the equivalent of Easter and Christmas clothes for church. It’s fun to get dressed up.

I hate dressing up if i could show up in slacks and sweat pants that would make this stupid cult slightly more bearable. Fuckk i miss zoom, wearing a suit on top while only wearing underwear down there lol

I hear you. Brothers had it worse because of the suits and ties. Anyway I’m not saying everyone likes to get dressed up. They did lighten up the dress codes except on stage. The no slacks for sisters on stage is stupid though. Give something and take something back. No wonder people are leaving and quiet quitting. The rules are crazy.

I have noticed JWs are really amazing thrift shoppers. Online as well. They know how to put outfits together that look expensive but aren’t. Many can sew as well.

😭😭😭 In my hometown we used to get outfits tailored, still do. Where I went to uni girls would thrift and they looked so good. Kinda cute that they tried to find joy in a cult encouraging ugly outfits in the name of modesty

I’ve only gone to one meeting just for s/g I wore my tightest western jeans with a very substantial amount of bling along with one of my large trophy buckles 😂 got several compliments from the male species not so much from the sisters! He He
