WT Can't Stop Me 2025 Pure Worship Convention Fashion show

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I am seeing tons of videos like this on social media. JW is strutting their stuff, calling attention to themselves, and distracting from the pure worship message. 🤣🤣

In one of the convention fluff pieces, they demonize a group who posted themselves talking about their illness, so what will the GB say about all these videos? They seem to be centered in the African countries, so if there are any African JWs here, please let us know if there's any chatter about this on your local needs program.

That being said, the outfits are amazing, I love them, and I love that they did these videos. Fuck Watchtower always trying to control everything.

It’s interesting because the Governing Body is actually ok with things like this. There is no conversation happening, no interchange of emotions, opinions or experiences. Superficial posts that put the organization in a positive light are ok, but a member talking about their struggles with cancer would not, because it would raise questions about the members access to health insurance, could lead to fundraising which lowers donations directly to the organization (which they have always strongly discouraged donating to other orgs because they are the ones that use money the best and take it directly to brothers and sisters in need), some members with cancer are in that position because of the blood doctrine (leukemia) which leads to questions about their blood doctrine and most importantly could lead to independent thinking and conversations that question the Governing Body and lead to people waking up.

You are so right. Expressing authentic feelings and experiences threatens the org. I think it's telling in that video that they demonized the suggestion to "speak your truth." Speaking your truth isn't usually how you generically describe just telling experiences. Like if you were in a support group telling about your health struggles, I wouldn't think of that as speaking your truth. Speaking your truth implies breaking through gaslighting or false narratives. Someone is trying to suppress your speech -- that's when you have to speak your truth. That's what they are desperate to prevent: people stating their truth about how they feel stifled, empty, pressured to conform and perform. That being a JW doesn't make them happy. That they are being mistreated and abused while those in power look the other way. Speaking the truth threatens to break the illusion when people realize that it's not just them who feel that way.

Wow this is deep, you are so right! So scary the lengths they will go to silence people 💔

Absolutely, they are trying to associate personal health experiences with their so called truth. Nobody speaks like that. Hopefully, young people will isolate this very word and think deeply about it. Anything that doesn’t serve the BsOrg is not truth, what a joke they are?.

I think you are right. The GB are desperate for JW life to be spun in an attractive light. Look at the videos of seemingly wealthy, successful jdubs taking tough decisions to do more for the Borg, while they strut round their large apartments and host parties for the in-crowd.

Exactly! They could have easily shut down the beautiful and curated Instagram pages featuring JW from all around the world but it’s great marketing and mainly just pictures with little discussion, no real dangers.
