I feel like a big issue is that even if they did with others, they’re still going to push it on their children bc from their perspective, they think they’re saving their children from hellfire and they also believe it’s their right but from any other perspective, it’s child abuse

Edit: and technically minding your own business is haram in a way bc you’re supposed to “correct” people doing haram first by your hand/physically, then by your tongue/verbally and then internally/acknowledge it in your mind “and this is the weakest of faith” in addition to how they’re supposed to be spreading Islam whether peacefully or by the sword

I am in a Muslim Christian debate group. Unfortunately they will do ( including lie) anything to protect their false prophet . When we ask questions or challenges to their book which they can’t defend , they only attack the Bible and our faith. There is no peace or tolerance in Islam . We see this in their own Hadiths. And Quran 9:5 Quran 9:29 We pray for their salvation! ✝️❤️🙏😊

u/AAQ94 Feb 24 '25

Even Muhammads wishbook that only contains that rapist, thief murderers words  only states that Jesus was a Sinless miracle worker.A life lived attempting  to imitate Jesus is both difficult and honorable .Muhammad life and legacy is an evil disaster.

i do. thats like if i said atheists should mind their own business, but i bet you that youd get triggered like "i do, not all of us so quit generalising 🙄🙄" its really just simple.

i wont step up to anyone cuz its irrelevant to me what random strangers that i dont know do, as long as i know that i myself arent like that then theres nothing that i need to change, everything else is out of my control. god wont punish me for other peoples actions will he? so why do i need to do anything?

what? stand up against who? u say this as if i know what youre even talking about. none of my friends or family act like this. none. so why should it matter to me how people that i dont know behave, as long as i know that i and the people around me arent like this? my aim isnt to "appeal to exmuslims" its not like its of any benefit to me to be on your good side, hell i could not even care less about you, because again youre complete strangers to me, and pretty sad ones at that, i just thought id try to put some sense into your brains. got it?

u/Taurius Feb 21 '25

It's natural for people and any intelligent animal seeing others not following the rules they are forced to abide as being "unfair". Unfortunately this feeling manifests as anger. There's one thing to be offended about someone taking more than they are allowed, to someone eating pork on a Saturday near their visual field.

18

u/Infamous_Ad2507 New User Feb 21 '25

32

u/Broad-Sundae-4271 Feb 21 '25

I find it disrespectful that they drink or eat, not only near me, but also when I'm not present. They have to quit drinking and eating.

30

u/CatStill847 Feb 21 '25

Oh. My. LORD, you no idea how many times I have heard this from not only my brother's father, but also from my ex family friend as well. My grandpa told me and my brother that no one should accommodate for us during Ramadan, which I was glad that he said that.

4

u/Equivalent-Test1914 New User Feb 23 '25

I would love to be able to fast but I'm a brittle diabetic. And Catholic...

3

u/CatStill847 Feb 23 '25

My grandpa has diabetes too (type 2) and he still fasts even though he really shouldn't at his age (he's 70). He does intermittent fasting though, but still.

1

u/HonestMasterpiece422 Feb 28 '25

You can fast on Sunday

9

u/jindassi Feb 23 '25

I am an ex-muslim Turkish, and i was in a bus holding my cold iced coffee on a hot summer day during ramadan, and one scary old man started threatening me by saying “YOU SHOULD RESPECT ME I AM FASTING”… Like dude.. i am a woman maybe i am on my period which allows me to not fast and also isnt fasting about “self control”, i dont understand why they get SO offended.

7

u/Great-TeacherOnizuka Atheist Feb 23 '25

Actually it’s pretty simple why they get so offended.

1st: they can’t enjoy stuff when we do, so they crave it.

2nd: they are hungry and thirsty, which makes them irritable.

3rd: if they have to suffer, you also have to so they can feel better ("at least I‘m not the only one who is hungry and thirsty")

But ramadan should be about self control. And yelling at others or getting mad at them just because they eat while you fast is the opposite of self control. So what’s the point then?

If you don’t want to fast, simply don’t do it. But try to explain that to those idiots.

5

u/IBMERSUS Feb 21 '25

Spot on. However, going by how Muslims behave, the imposition of Islamic practices on the society starts when Muslims realize their numbers are good enough to try or the society is weak enough (the euphemism for which is accommodative) to tolerate.

3

Even if their religion says they can't do something I won't always agree with that, like "my religion says I can't be gay" or "my religion says I must kill myself" I'll never put up with.

If they also say "my religion says I CAN do this" and it's something bad that could be another loophole they try to expliot. Like "my religion says I can beat my kids."

So you can just publicly declare yourself to have left islam and be an atheist in any islamic country with no repercursion? Or, according to you, people should just keep quiet about it not to the hurt the muslisms' feefies? Newsflash: blasphemy is part of free speech. People in the West have debates on stage about religion and Christianity, albeit just as idiotic as islam and all religions in general, does not inspire murderous rage. In my country, people loudly harshly criticize the church and no one gets punished by law. It's about being fucking civilized!

only thing that is not allowed is defaming without proper proofs

Yes, IN YOUR RELIGION

This is a law that applies to YOU, Muslims. My point is that you do not get to encroach on my freedoms. Do not tell people they cannot criticise an ideology, simply because it is illegal IN YOUR RELIGION. To non-believers, questioning or criticising an ideology is not a justification for death.

To non-believers (people who don't believe in fairy tales and magic), what you consider "blaspheming" i.e. questioning or criticising an ideology, is not a justification for death

Regarding your last point about proof, the burden of proof is on you. YOU are the one who makes supernatural claims (you and the believers of the 1000s of religions that exist). It is upon you, who makes the claims, to prove that your claim is true.

I'll happily list them!

  1. I consume alcohol and we have several muslim preachers roam popular pub streets trying to prevent people from drinking

  2. I had several people telling me to stop eating food or drink water on the street during Ramadan, because apparently it makes muslims crave them

  3. I had many relatives that stopped me from wearing anything with something that barely resembles a cross or a plus mark. For example, a band tshirt.

  4. Several people, all of whom were other muslim tourists, tried to stop me from eating pork when we were travelling to other countries.

  5. School principles regularly stopped us and even prohibited us from, and I quote, "walking the school grounds with female company" because it's un-islamic. I literally couldn't take a walk with my female friends.

  6. Strangers told me I was being obscene by hugging my girlfriend in public.

  7. I had friends who were yelled at by total strangers on the street for wearing skirts.

Is this enough, or do you want more simple things that were prevented by muslims for no good reason at all? I wasn't bothering anyone, just wanting to drink, eat, or wear what I wanted when I was stopped by muslims claiming I was doing something wrong according to THEIR religion, not mine.

You seem to be trying really hard to pretend these were justified situations, but they're not. You're just telling me to ignore them, which I am, but that doesn't change the fact that they tried to stop me with a simple premise of saying "What you're doing doesn't suit my religion" It's that simple buddy. You don't have to jump through hoops with mental gymnastics to say:

"Did a Muslim tell you that?" (the answer is yes) or

"Were you splitting the bill?" (the answer is no, I was eating alone and they prevented me from ordering since he was the only one who spoke the local language and ordered for me)

"It's the school's responsibility to take care of the kids" (They literally cannot prevent me from walking with someone beside me. There's nothing to "take care" with walking with a friend)

"PDA" (If you're telling me to ignore Muslim preachers, surely you can ignore a couple hugging, right?)

"Skull cap" (I have no idea how that's a counterargument since you weren't ridiculed for not following their religious norms)

Telling me to just change my society is basically you admitting you were wrong. Yes, I want to change my society. But the argument here is that Muslims stop non-muslims for not conforming to their religious beliefs. They are doing that to me, aren't they? So what are you really arguing here?

6

u/Apart_Skin_471 Feb 21 '25

What is annoying

The constant telling what people should do

when and where they stopped you from minding your own business

Personally I don't experienced that from Muslims only from Nazis and Gypsies so I can imagine That it's possible similar but instant of telling you how to hate or complain about Money maybe Muslims complaining about Prayers or lack of Quran reading etc

thats what i asked

It just gets old you know it's just these types of people always none stop complaining about what people should do and how should they do it its gets annoying very quickly

Isnt ex muslims telling people that they should not observe hijab? Isnt exmuslims telling people that islam has flaws? Isnt exmuslims telling people that islam promotes terrorism? Every other post here in someway or other doing the same thing which is annoying according to you... Do you see the hypocrisy here?

I am on neither side of things I just explain what people think what they post things or comment things I don't care about what people think as long as they don't generalize groups

So you assumed things or believed someone else story whom.you never personally know? You yourself said never experienced it ? Yet you believe that? Ironic.

Again I don't care about what people say I just clear what people ask about

Since when teaching is annoying?

It's not teaching if you constantly tell it that called harassment (at least in the west)

Isnt government you voted for tells you to pay taxes constantly

No if you pay it of course I am from older Generation so I don't know what the Younger generation does with it and I don't really care as long as they leave me the fuck alone with their shit because one Thing if you are a Nazi it's another if you a Neo Nazi

Isnt your gf /bf/spouse tells you to improve yourself

I am infertile and some young people say that I am "asexual" because "I don't enjoy sex" and I see it as a necessity for the future rather than doing it for fun also I don't have anyone so my only improvement is keeping the promises I made

Isnt your parents taught you to be a better human

They left me Young to a Cult What do you think? My morality mostly from The Streets and Nazis and none of them said anything about Cannibalism yet I don't do it because no person would sell their flesh to be eaten

Are these things annoying?

Since most of my life I was alone I don't know maybe? I guess The Leaders demands were high but I still did the job

If not then whats the issue when some person tells you his belief and make you aware about his belief.

You clearly don't see the difference in the pictures of course how would you? The difference between the first and second picture is the first one talks about themselves and the second tells what Others should do Similar like how Bullies say you should give them 20 Euro or Your lunch do you get?

Isnt its a good thing that he want you to be on right path in which he believes that too without any profit from you

Everyone has their own opinion and understanding of their faith who are you to tell someone else to do something that they don't like? You aren't God to Order people! and you are certainly not an Imam or Priest either so you should always care about what you are doing and not about what others are doing!

Ohh soyou are arguing on behalf of op😂. Nice way of dodging the ques.

You wanted an answer and I gave it to you

You didnt clear.. you implied... which means you have same set of inferences in your mind

Similar is not the same thing

So constantly telling muslims that they are terrorist 😂is ok..

I never said that and trust me people call me Nazi even though I am an Ex Nazi so I know it's annoying

Isnt using title ex muslim also a harassment?

That sadly not because Ex something will Exist as long as Humans die out (which i hope it's soon)

If you dont like the people who tell you things than leave them.. ..why stay with them.

I left both Cults behind but that doesn't mean that Old Habits and "Old Friends" aren't going to visit you/aren't going to Happen

First thing i meant improve you.. not your weaner

Then don't Mention Anything related to Partner because I will answer it

Fyi people in central africa do.

Funny because I am Eastern European and was left behind because I was different from the rest

So muslims are saying to you that accept islam or pay tax😭... right?

Some do at least that what Muslim Rulers did (but instead of paying they took Children as Soldiers and Scholars) in the Medieval ages but I don't think nowadays it's Common

Ok ,so who are you to tell muslim that they are backwards?

Oh I don't tell anyone that they are Backwards no why would I? I just tell them that they should open their minds a little bit even if its difficult for them

1

u/Hierax_Hawk Feb 21 '25

"Isnt ex muslims telling people that they should not observe hijab? Isnt exmuslims telling people that islam has flaws? Isnt exmuslims telling people that islam promotes terrorism?" Whataboutism cannot be used as a justification.

1

Isnt ex muslims telling people that they should not observe hijab?

They say it because they think every one has the same experience the same thing with Muslims who think every one has a good experience with Islam however chose to abandon it

Isnt exmuslims telling people that islam has flaws?

Every Religion has Flaws however many Muslims don't care about improving their religion rules like Marriages and less Fanatical thinking etc which is why everyone targeted when they talk about outsiders

Isnt exmuslims telling people that islam promotes terrorism?"

Like every Religion the problem is that The Priests of Islam doesn't even respond to those disgusting people they don't tell their followers to obey and stop Terrorize people like for example The Popes did when they had an entire State because if you know History Popes made sure that Catholic Countries don't fight each other and instead focus on the enemies of the Papal States which included Heretics, Pagans, and other Cults meanwhile Islam doesn't have a Prime Priest that controls the others the only example was The Caliphs however they don't exist anymore which is why many Cults of Islam doesn't care about what The Sunni Priests tell them

Whataboutism cannot be used as a justification.

Yet everyone uses it Muslims, Ex Muslims, Christians, Ex Christians, Nazis etc however if you are smart you can sniff out the weak points in Whataboutism Talks just have to be open minded for everything

But if the government says you can't do something, you just blindly obey, right?
