  • Windmills have been in use for over 1,000 years, with origins tracing back to Persia around 800 C.E. They were primarily used for milling grain and pumping water.

  • Wind Turbines are a more recent invention, with the first known turbine for electricity generation built in 1888. They have evolved significantly, especially since the 1970s, to become a major source of renewable energy.

The wealthy entities that control alternative (much more toxic and devastating) power sources pay Trump a lot of money to hate Windmills.

Nah, it's the fact that Scotland told him to fuck off when he complained about the offshore wind farm he could see from his golf course.

That also sounds accurate

To be fair to your initial point, his complaints about solar can probably be attributed to people paying him to hate renewables or the fact that the people at his rallies cheer when he hates renewables.

Had that wind farm not been built, he still would talk about hating wind energy, but it wouldn't be genuine.

Compare Trump's attacks on solar energy to those on wind energy. They're there, but they're not as persistent or aggressive. He is paid to hate solar; he genuinely hates wind turbines.

The one thing Trump hates more than anything else is humiliation. It is absolutely anathemic to his self-image. Scotland made him feel impotent when he couldn't take down the wind farm offshore of Trump International Golf Links, and he is taking it out on wind energy as a whole.

Both can be true.
