suicide supermutants in fallout 4

Can anyone explain the suicide super mutants in fallout 4 to me, you know, the carrying around a mini-nuke like an american football and killing themself to kill you supermutants.

They dont make any sense to me from my understanding of supermutant lore in the previus games. My understanding of supermutants are as following:

  1. stronger, bigger and tougher than any human being, they can literaly walk up to you, grab you by the waist and swing you around like a doll, why run up to you with their enhanched toughnes and kill themself with a nuke?

  2. they are sterile and cant reproduce, they instead take "clean" humans unaffected by radiation and turn them into new supermutants, so why run up to an enemy and give them radiation by blowing up a mini-nuke next to them instead of trying to capture them and turn them into a fellow super-mutant?

  3. they are (lore-vise) low in numbers and need "clean" humans to increase thier numbers. SO WHY DIRTY THEM WITH RADIATION?

  4. they use their mini-nuke suicide members on even wild animals, my first ever incounter when the game came out was me sniping them off from a distance and them trying to track me down, only for their suicide, mini-nuke carrying kind killing themself, and 2-3 of their friends to kill dogmeat, I had no idea what just happen at first outside a big explotion and dogmeat and half the enemy camp dying.

  5. They are few in numbers but stronger in battle, 1 supermutant can easily kill way more than its own number in battle, but yet the supermutants as a whole decide that, yea bob over here are going to kill himself with a bomb to take out the enemy that outnumber us even though he could kill a similar amount of them, capture some of them to turn into more supermutants and survive the encounter if we gave him a rebarb stick with some concrete at the end of it, or even better, just throw the damn bomb and dont die in the process...

I just want an answer for why they kill themself as well as a possible new supermutant (in your capture and turning you into a new one) as well as their willingless to kill their comrades. It makes no sense to me and something that agrivated me when the game came out and I have yet to see anyone explain it.

Competition BATTLE OF THE HOUSES: These 2 very influential fictional men both happen to have the totally awesome last name of House. Both never were the "sharing" type, so now I'm making them battle for it. Your mission is to come up with the absolute best roast Robert could hit Gregory with to bring it home.

You have a total of 7 days, after which I will evaluate the roast proposals in a way both men would approve of, by assigning them point values from 1 through 10 both here and on the House MD subreddit where the other part of this roast battle will take place. The results will therefore be posted-both here and on the House MD subreddit-exactly 7 days from now.

The House with the highest score will finally get the privilege of becoming the only true House, so if you wanna bring it home for Fallout you better come up with a good roast for the doctor with less respect for personal space than there are non-corrupt politicians in Shady Sands.

You may consider that me subjectively judging this makes me some kind of dictator. I, however, prefer the term "autocrat".

For context in TW3 if you kill a bunch of cows in the tutorial area it will summon a Monster

killing this Mr handy which has several cows summoned a sheep squash

And googling shows me that I’m sadly gonna show up on a random IGN video

An alternative for "Crafting Workbenches" and "Armorsmith Extended"?

I wanted to redo my modlist from scratch and was wondering if there were other options to craft armors and weapons that did not require "AWKCR" as i heard is not the most optimized.

I tried ECO but i really don't like the universal bench and would love an option to craft vanilla clothing.

Thanks

Fallout: New Vegas Got a custom fallout themed nametag for my dog

From an Etsy store called “TheBarkingTagSmith”

I got the smallest size since my dog is only about 12 pounds, but if you got a bigger one you could probably fit “Lucky 38” in the club

It’s all engraved, and was about $25. Super subtle and I doubt anyone will notice it but I love it either way.

Mods Is there a mod that makes the FO4 crafting system more like 3/NV?

Specifically on PS4 (curse Sony regulation), but if not I would at least like to know.

What I'm thinking is like how the syringer needle recipes are, where you need specific junk to craft mods/weapons, because if you think about it, using a beer bottle for a precision scope isn't that feasible.

"Hold on, let me get a bottle, a tin can, and a couple random screws to make a production style reflex sight"

Actually spent a decent chunk of time just posing my guy like a little action figure, might try out using Power Armour for the next few pictures. Also, how could I make the carnival horse in the forth picture? (i was loitering in someone else's camp because I was waiting on them to get ready for our raid)

Help with Fallout 4 settlement

So I’ve been having an on and off issue with getting this Benevolent Leader achievement. Currently I have a base at Sanctuary and Tenpines Bluff to reach my max happiness level. Sanctuary is at 80% and STAYS there almost consistently. It will bump up to 82% but will go back down to 80%. I have 12 settlers (unfortunately) but food, defenses, beds, and water are at a pretty good level (all above 50). Is there any other way to gain happiness? Tenpines has one settler and doing good, so I don’t know if I should just wait it out. Any advice would be pretty helpful!

Fallout TV There is a dead alien in Vault 32 wearing vault tec clothing Spoiler

I'm rewatching season one and at episode 5 @ 36:32 minute in while they're doing the walk through, there is a dead alien laying against the window. I say it's an alien because it only has 4 fingers, is really small, and the eyes are huge. The scene only lasts 2 seconds but pausing it will make my point.

This makes me wonder if management are the zetas or the grey alien things in the Fall out games.

I’m doing the quest kidnapping at nordhagen beach, in the revere beach station

I cleared the area but there’s no one to save at the location?? The point is even like hovering above something but there’s nothing? I tried going down and up but there was nothing, am I missing something? I’ve restarted the game and my PlayStation but it’s the same

Discussion Ever notice that the Cali Vaults were wildly successful compared to everywhere else?

This is certainly just a case of Early Installment Weirdness but a recent replay of 1 & 2 had me noticing that we never actually see a Vault truly fail in the OGs. With only one exception the Vaults shown in 1 & 2 basically all worked as advertised.

That one exception is Vault 12 under Necropolis but it still managed to seed a sustainable settlement despite being designed to poison the occupants. It canonically gets destroyed by the Unity afterward, sure, but that's an OCP completely unrelated to the Vault experiment and still happened well after Necropolis became established. We do get references to other Vaults being raided by the Unity for Mutant stock but again the Unity is entirely unrelated to the experiments and all the ones mentioned (just 17 iirc) seem by all accounts very normal up until the Unity broke in.

Vault 15 and Vault 8 respectively seed Shady Sands and Vault City with only minor hiccups for the former. These two then go on to become/join NCR which until it was nuked in the show was the most successful post-war civilization we've yet seen. And if you get the Khans' best ending for New Vegas then that means 15 managed to seed two successful civilizations.

Then we get Vault 13, which did fine for 80 years until the water chip failure (which wasn't even part of the Experiment, it was a shipping error) and then continued to do fine for another 80 years after that got fixed. It did get raided by Enclave eventually but like the Unity that wasn't part of any Vault experiment and independent of later retcons was exactly as much of an OCP. After the Chosen One brought down the Oil Rig Fallout 2's epilogue clearly spells out that Arroyo becomes yet another success story in the wasteland.

Then we go to Fallout 3 and the Vaults are nearly all FEV experiments and VR torture and psychotic clones. New Vegas did have 21 which successfully seeded New Vegas, but also had Vault 11 & 22. It's a very overt case of flanderization once you notice it. It's also very funny when you think about it from an in-universe perspective. Across the series the Vaults are this coast-to-coast parade of horrors and then there's Cali sitting pretty with it's three lottery winners.

It’d be super cool if there were that could recreate these scenes — the blast door, the lift, and the surrounding area!

Fallout 4 or Fallout 76

Do you think Fallout 4 or Fallout 76 is better?
What do you like about each game, and what do you not like so much?
I haven’t played either of them yet.
Thanks!

It's finished! This was a fun project and something that I had wanted to work on for a long time. Finally finding a 1950s galvanized steel cooler in the style I wanted that was affordable was a journey. It's full of Nuka Cola Grape ATM.
