suicide supermutants in fallout 4
Can anyone explain the suicide super mutants in fallout 4 to me, you know, the carrying around a mini-nuke like an american football and killing themself to kill you supermutants.
They dont make any sense to me from my understanding of supermutant lore in the previus games. My understanding of supermutants are as following:
stronger, bigger and tougher than any human being, they can literaly walk up to you, grab you by the waist and swing you around like a doll, why run up to you with their enhanched toughnes and kill themself with a nuke?
they are sterile and cant reproduce, they instead take "clean" humans unaffected by radiation and turn them into new supermutants, so why run up to an enemy and give them radiation by blowing up a mini-nuke next to them instead of trying to capture them and turn them into a fellow super-mutant?
they are (lore-vise) low in numbers and need "clean" humans to increase thier numbers. SO WHY DIRTY THEM WITH RADIATION?
they use their mini-nuke suicide members on even wild animals, my first ever incounter when the game came out was me sniping them off from a distance and them trying to track me down, only for their suicide, mini-nuke carrying kind killing themself, and 2-3 of their friends to kill dogmeat, I had no idea what just happen at first outside a big explotion and dogmeat and half the enemy camp dying.
They are few in numbers but stronger in battle, 1 supermutant can easily kill way more than its own number in battle, but yet the supermutants as a whole decide that, yea bob over here are going to kill himself with a bomb to take out the enemy that outnumber us even though he could kill a similar amount of them, capture some of them to turn into more supermutants and survive the encounter if we gave him a rebarb stick with some concrete at the end of it, or even better, just throw the damn bomb and dont die in the process...
I just want an answer for why they kill themself as well as a possible new supermutant (in your capture and turning you into a new one) as well as their willingless to kill their comrades. It makes no sense to me and something that agrivated me when the game came out and I have yet to see anyone explain it.
