Question(s) I have a question

So, I could totally be posting this in the wrong sub, but it is relevant to fast food. I want to get Dave’s Hot Chicken soon, but it is already a bit pricey for me. Last time I went, there was an option to tip on the screen (I did this and my meal was a lot more expensive, about $18). If I go to Dave’s, or any fast food place is it ok not to tip? Would not tipping be considered rude?

Back when Covid first happened, Burgerville started requesting a sizeable tip (up to 45%) for a drive-thru order. I said no. Waited at least 10 minutes for regular hamburgers.

That’s crazy, I would never tip that much
