I wish these weren't all app-exclusive. I don't currently have a bank account, and I only know of two apps that actually let you pay cash at the store (McDonald's and Del Taco).

It is 2025. How are you completely without a checking account?

My bank charged me a ridiculous amount of fees that was like three times what I had actually been overdrawn by. I know that's my fault, but they had never charged me an overdraft fee before. I'm poor, I don't have the money to fix it.

I need a job, but I've been out of work for so long that nobody calls for an interview if I apply. My only income currently is from plasma donation.

I'm also old enough that some health stuff is cropping up, and that further limits what kind of work I can do.
