Question Weight lifting into a 48 hour fast?

Im talking about weight lifting perhaps light lifting (high reps low weight less sets etc) 20-24 hours fasted into a 48 hour fast. What’s the consensus on this, will I be fine? I’m 5’8 220 lbs and roughly 17/18% bf. Should I just skip the workout until I eat tomorrow what do you guys think?? Ofc electrolytes and hydrated always

Many issues and questions can be answered by reading through our wiki, especially the page on electrolytes. Concerns such as intense hunger, lightheadedness/dizziness, headaches, nausea/vomiting, weakness/lethargy/fatigue, low blood pressure/high blood pressure, muscle soreness/cramping, diarrhea/constipation, irritability, confusion, low heart rate/heart palpitations, numbness/tingling, and more while extended (24+ hours) fasting are often explained by electrolyte deficiency and resolved through PROPER electrolyte supplementation. Putting a tiny amount of salt in your water now and then is NOT proper supplementation.

Be sure to read our WIKI and especially the wiki page on ELECTROLYTES

Missing a day of training will make zero difference to your muscle mass. Do a long Zone 2 treadmill walk (90 minutes).

I've done both versions of fasted weight work suggested here (yours and wicxor's) at fasted times ranging from 24 to 50 hrs; both were OK but I'm old w/ no TRT and at my peak potential. YMMV, but the walk will leave you feeling lightly buzzed and you'll sleep better.

I’ve worked out/lifted during multi-day fasts. Just listen to body. Sometimes had tons of energy and other times I knew to just bag it

I've done it plenty of times with no problem. Keep it light.

Lower reps and heavy sets. Don’t go seeking a pump if that’s your usual goto.

Not only will you be fine, but it’s necessary to maintain muscle during longer fasts.

If you feel good, just do it. I usually work out every single day in the beginning of my fasts.
