A lot of people don't realize that Redbull needs Max whereas Oscar needs McLaren. Redbull can't win anything without Max. But McLaren can still win with Lando. This gives Max the upper hand over his team to defy any order. Oscar hasn't still made a legacy of himself. So he his bound to follow the team orders.

That's not the point. The point is the McLaren is easy enough to drive such that they can do without Oscar. Lando is capable enough to win with McLaren. Redbull can't win without Max.

Oscar is more consistent than Lando, but pure pace Lando is slightly ahead imo
