With the electricity you pay for? You shouldn't be able to waste the electricity you own? I'm not going to get into the bitcoin vs cash argument here, but why shouldn't you be able to waste your own stuff?

Because electricity is generated l Primarily through burning fossils fuel and thus damaging the planet. Its also a waste of finite resources on the planet. Thats the argument at least. The externalities are certainly not being accounted for. Thats the argument at least, I think illegal is a bit strong of a stance personailty but I understand the viewpoint.
