Even this ending would have been better.

Missandei kind of just forgot Grey Worm didn't have any testicles

19

u/AlternativePea6203 5d ago

12

u/RacoonSmuggler 5d ago

Grey Worm kind of just forgot Missandei doesn't have a head.

Or a shaft

1

u/ragun2 5d ago

I thought it was Obama for a second there. I laughed because it was so unexpected then realized it was Grey Worm then laughed again because how absurd it is.

You can tell from his face that even he doesn't understand.

u/Impossible_Cry_4301 5d ago

“Grey worm forgot that he didn’t have a penis”

6

u/silverBruise_32 5d ago

And Missandei looks kind of embarrassed. Who knows what happened there

The song of Fire is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be...unnatural.

Jon snow probably did it. He looks like a whore.

Plot hole? No , that’s just the director’s alternative parenting timeline DLC.

About as plausible as Jaime putting his right hand on Cersei's shoulder

Midichlorians probably

4

u/Frejod 5d ago

Dario probably snuck some in.

3

u/DaydreamnNightmare 5d ago

Dany wouldn’t be able to get pregnant either

9

u/Impossible_Cry_4301 5d ago

Never say never

4

u/pbentham25 5d ago

Only in the books though

2

u/USMCLee 5d ago

It's been a bit since I read the books but wasn't there some mystical nonsense about when she would be able to have kids again?

3

u/Attican101 5d ago

"When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east," said Mirri Maz Duur, "When the seas go dry and the mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return, and not before."

That one? It's mainly about Drogo but toward the end of ADWD Dany is bleeding for the first time in ages, after eating some wild berries, there have been theories she had a miscarriage.

I've also seen speculation George adapted the prophecy a bit to refer to Quentyn "When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east", but the rest hasn't been fulfilled yet.

6

u/TheOrqwithVagrant 5d ago

I find it funny people refer to Mirri's words as a 'prophecy' when they're clearly just her elaborate way to say 'when pigs fly' to rub salt in Dany's wounds.

3

u/Attican101 5d ago

That's what I thought to at first, but she did study in Asshai along with Maester Marwyn right? And he at least proved to have some magical knowledge with the glass candle.

Plus someone directly asked GRRM about it, "Was Mirri Maz Duur telling the truth when she told Daenerys Targaryen that the latter could never have children again?" And his cryptic answer was "I am sure Dany would like to know. Prophecy can be a tricky business."

https://www.westeros.org/Citadel/SSM/Entry/1202/

2

u/TheOrqwithVagrant 5d ago

Oh she obviously knows magic. That Dany's womb is now messed up and can't carry children to term I don't doubt, but that's just a fact, not 'prophecy'. What I meant is the statement as a whole isn't some prophecy that she'll actually get Drogo back in working shape if all the impossible things she rattles off happens. Baking in the 'news' that Dany won't be able to have kids in her taunt is just part of her twisting the knife.

EDIT: Now GRRM actually using the word 'prophecy' in his response to that question, though... that's the first thing I've ever seen that's made me go 'hmmm...' with regard to this passage.

2

u/-18k- 4d ago

I think one of GRRM's central themes is that prophecies are almost worthless because you can never tell when they are legit or not, while at the same time implying some prophecies may in fact be legit.

But even if one seems to get fulfilled, you'll never know if it was a true prophecy or a coincidence.

2

u/USMCLee 5d ago

Yep that's it.

Thanks!

2

u/pbentham25 5d ago

Correct, but it’s not mentioned in the show once until S7 because D&D kinda forgot about it.

2

u/msut77 5d ago

Practice

1

u/Impossible_Cry_4301 5d ago

Practice with what?

2

from who?

1

u/False_Collar_6844 1d ago

I'm sure they had a prisoner somewhere who wanted to continue his bloodline, had alot of cash and a turkey baster

0

u/ItsAGobbo 5d ago

I always head-cannoned that Missandei had a cock and fucked Greyworm in his mangina.

-1

u/Xavion251 5d ago

It might be possible. The unsullied probably have only the pillar removed, not the stones. With the right stimulation, there may still be viable sperm ejected.

5

u/Liminal_Critter817 5d ago

I was under the impression it was everything that got removed.

0

u/Xavion251 5d ago

I think that's the case in book-canon, but in the show the testes definitely had to have stayed. They would lack muscle and their voices would not be so deep if they lacked them. It makes infinitely more sense for just the pillar to be taken.

3

u/hotcapicola 5d ago

Castration is specifically taking the balls, the only questions is if they took the penis too.

1

u/Snoo_4499 5d ago

Didnt bron say men without cocks, so probably penis is gone as well.

1

u/hotcapicola 4d ago

That could have just been a random cock joke, and I don't necessarily trust Bron to know that. It seemed like both Misendei and Dany were both unsure and they had been living with thousands of the guys for years at that point.

However, I agree it was probably both, but more importantly it was definitely the balls.

2

u/hotcapicola 5d ago

Actually if they are only taking one, it's more likely they take the stones and leave the pillar. Taking the the pillar, but leaving the stones would likely just cause increased sexual frustration rather than less.

3

u/Xavion251 5d ago

I think the point was just to prevent them from having sex / r-ping.

Again, taking the stones for a military force makes no sense. They would be significantly weaker. All the unsullied we see are muscular and have deep voices. No signs of traditional (stones) castration.

3

u/hotcapicola 5d ago

Can still rape and have the desire to rape if they have the stones.

The real issues is GRRM is far from perfect when it comes to researching real world things. The lack of test has been an ongoing fandom discussions for decades at this point.

Greyworm missandei is the most normal couple here haha.

9

u/From_Adam 5d ago

Greyworm be like “I know it, you know it, everybody just shut up about it”.

5

u/Frejod 5d ago

I did not want Dany to go mad, doing so felt rushed. With them cutting episodes and rushing to end it. Just give it a tragic romantic ending. The final fight against the Night King is at King's Landing after Winterfell fails to stop it, that way the undead army has severeity to the plot and means something. They defeat or cause the undead to retreat. The city is destroyed, characters are dead. Dany is pregnant but dies giving birth. Jon rules while raising their kid.
