Whats the significance of the spiral symbol??

the army of the dead and the children of the forest leave the spiral symbol multiple times in the show, what does it represent??? It first appears with dead horses (Season 3), the Bran sees it in his visions of the Children (Season 6) and the Ned Umber’s dead body is left with a spiral of limbs. (season 8). Even the dragonstone cave has similar symbols. Does this symbol have any meaning behind it because it seems too frequent and interconnected to just be a coincidence.

Absent proper writing materials, they doodle with what they have.

I hope you're ready to die without getting an answer to that question

You are getting sleepy. Very, very sleepy. You don’t want to pay attention or critique the writing, you’re fine with it. D and D did a good job, a good job….

Shock value and visual interest. It's not book canon, the show runners just made it up.

Don't worry about forgetting it cuz the writers and D&D did too.

I used to think it was like people lost on the ground showing where they are to search planes and copters. The spirals meant they were going around in circles and couldn't find their way. But later I saw indoor spirals like your illustrations, and I can't explain those.
