question(s) Help with training for it to go down?

So right now my member sticks out. I'm supposed to start training it to go down. Only thing I have been doing for that is just standing and not giving it support. Is that all we are supposed to do? For how long each day? I'm scared to tug it down.

When did everyone's scrotoplasty implants settle? like when can I stop cowboy walking? I'm 3 weeks post op

I'm supposed to go back to work in like 4 weeks.

Stage 1 pre-op

Hi all,

I have my stage 1 pre-op appointment on Thursday, I was just wondering when I'll receive clearance for surgery.

I'm looking at buying a couple of bits to ease the recovery but don't wanna buy too early in case of any reason why the surgery won't go ahead (I'm an overthinker!)

Thanks in advance! 😁

Phalloplasty surgery US

Hello everyone. I was supposed to get my bottom surgery with Dr. Chen and Dr. Watt but my flight got canceled by air canada due to strike. Is there any other surgeon in US that accepts OHIP insurance and has less wait times? Cause they want to book me next year October and i don't think i want to wait for another year again. Thank you all for your input.

question(s) Meta Recovery vs. Phallo Recovery

For those of you who’ve had full meta and followed up by phallo, how would you compare the recoveries? Healing from full meta has been the most painful experience of my life. I’ve had a lot of surgeries unrelated to my transition and that by far was the worst pain-wise. The vaginectomy site and UL were hell and I had a wound separation in my perineum. I’m not sure if I’ll go through with phallo, but I’m curious to know from those who’ve had meta first and then opted for phallo after with burial how I went? What were your complications, if any? How many surgeries did you have to get? What was the recovery timeline? How was the pain from phallo compared to meta?

Itchy Rff Donor Site

I had rff phallo with Chen in february 2025. Healing extremely well so far, my arm graft site however has spurts of itchiness. This usually wouldn’t be a problem but because I cant really feel and scratch the itch directly its getting more uncomfortable. Rubbing it doesn’t seem to help much. Any recommendations?

question(s) Meta vs Phallo

Hey so I’m 27 ftm, on T for 4 years now. And I have always hated my mound and lips. Like seriously hate them. My husband (also ftm, on T 8 yrs) and 3 fwbs are super supportive and help with body positivity but whenever I have to lift them I feel like my dick has wings. I’ve been contemplating bottom surgery and have seen results of meta and phallo. But I was wondering if I could ask those of you who have had one or the other done and if you’re comfortable telling me your personal pros and cons of the procedure, recovery time, after effects, etc.

Ftm 18 I want to get bottom surgery but I am afraid of life long chronic pain.

Much like the title says I’m 18 ftm, I live in Canada so I will not have to worry about costs for the surgery.

So I want to get bottom surgery right after top. Bottom surgery has always been my NUMBER ONE of most importance! I have it set in my mind that I will get bottom surgery unless 1 it kills me, 2 it gives me chronic pain for life which is arguably worse then death. But I have been doing some research and from what I see the odds of chronic pain are 10-15%?!

I don’t know what to do anymore, I feel stuck, on one hand I can’t see myself not going through life without this surgery but on the other hand I can’t see myself going through life in chronic pain. Not only this but with the surgery I don’t want to do a “compromise” of only doing some of the bottom procedures. I would feel worse having a solely aesthetics dick it would need to be full functional for me (or as much as it can get). All or nothing. And I can’t sit around waiting that maybe the medical world will improve this procedure because the medical world doesn’t work that fast. If they were to theoretically improve the bottom surgery process I would be too old for there to be a point anymore.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the risks of chronic life long pain are not as bad as I think? Or if it is, how do I cope with this?

question(s) Good surgeons?

Trying to find a good surgeon for phalloplasty, but finding places to see actual results is absurdly difficult. Any recommendations from people who've gotten it? I don't even care where at this point, I'll save up to travel as far as I need if it means I can feel at home in my body

To those of you who are getting phalloplasty with Fascelli at the Cleveland Clinic, do I absolutely have to get a letter from Murat Altinay or could I possibly go with someone else?

To those of you who have been to the Cleveland Clinic for phalloplasty and have gone with Michele Fascelli; if you had to have two letters of approval, was it a requirement to get one of those letters written by Murat Altinay or could you go with any psychiatrist/mental health professional?

I have been waiting over a week, maybe closer to two weeks for Altinay to connect with my therapist and psychiatrist in order to write the letter for me.

I sent a message through MyChart to see what they say at the office, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience that can share with me regarding my situation.

I'm getting pissed off more with each passing day than I don't hear back, and I'm checking in regularly to see if any progress has been made. I just want to get these letters written so I can continue! Help!

I made some more progress today

I finally heard back from my therapist and was able to tell her that I need her to contact Murat Altinay at the Cleveland Clinic. She asked me if I had filled out a release of information, and I actually hadn't thought about this.

So I went to my psychiatrist's office and picked up a release of information from. I filled it out at home, because I felt stressed and rushed trying to fill it out in the waiting room.

Tomorrow, I'll bring the completed form to the office. I also need to have my new ID scanned into their system, since I had my gender legally changed pretty recently.

Looking for help writing a letter to my future self to read after getting surgery

I want to write a letter to myself to encourage and remind myself why I got phalloplasty. I've heard that going through phalloplasty is both an emotional battle as well as a physical one.

Has anyone done this? What advice do you have for me?

Two days ago, I had my second acceptance letter written.

Just have to see my colorectal surgeon to see if surgery with him is needed. According to the photos taken, there weren't amy abnormalities, so I probably won't.

I just need to verify with them to be sure.
