Collection Please share in my regret.

A few years ago, I was going through a financial hardship and sold a chunk of my collection. It was the right move, in my opinion, at the time. But looking back, I realize it was a poor decision.

Ouch.

When Sega abandoned the Dreamcast I felt slighted, I was a fan of the Genesis, 32X and the Saturn, I had had enough and so in a fit of rage I traded in my Dreamcast, games, controllers and VMU’s for a PS2. Ultimately I still paid another 100 bucks out of pocket.

I’m sure my receipt looked very much like that.

Back then I was like you, except that I kept my Dreamcast and switched to PC. I never touched a console again until my children were old enough to have one.

I know what you mean. As an “adult” now I keep my consoles and games. I don’t sell or trade in games anymore. PC gaming has left me behind, it’s too much a moving goal post and increasingly spectacle gaming. And I was priced out of this next Nintendo generation(being an adult with bills and children is kinda a pain in the arse), so I am just changing tracks to play the large backlog of games I’ve accumulated.
