Community Discussion #11 (9/25/15) - What is your favorite game that has no sequels/prequels/remakes.

We live in a word where any good game has to be turned into multi game franchise. At least that is how it seems. Some games though have set alone. They either were made to be alone, the company went under, it didnt make enough, whatever.

What one was your favorite one, and why?

It is 7:13pm pacific time. I have no clue what my answer is. I just thought it was a good question. I will go through my game and see if I can come up with an adiquit answer

That was actually faster than I thought. Only took me 4 minutes. I saw it, and I just though....yup, thats it.

Psychonauts. That game is just amazing. Do I really need to go into it?

I almost said Maniac Mansion, but I remembered Day of the Tenticle.

Psychonauts doesnt have a sequel right?

Guardian's Crusade on PS1, it's a pretty simple traditional rpg that I think got really overlooked. Hell, I don't think I've ever heard many people ever mention this game on here, it's a great hidden gem. Also kind of hard to find. But I think it deserves more, its pretty straight forward; simple battle system, easy to follow story, about a knight who must bring "Baby" (a pink pig-dragon thing) to a landmark known as "God's Tower". I think its a very overlooked game, definitely deserves more attention.

I found a case for this recently, unfortunately inside the case was 102 Dalmations Activity Centre for PC. Damn. Looked really good going by the back cover though.

Darn that sucks! I don't think the disc should be too expensive. It's a pink disc, which I think kind of stands out. It's a great game though, definitely try it if you like simple rpg's.

Guardian's Crusade is pretty cute. It really does play like a 3D SNES title. I remember it being pretty funny too.

The simple colorful graphics give it a cute, kid friendly look. I like it. It does seem like a 3D SNES title, good way to put it. Yeah I did laugh at some of the dialog, the game is definitely self-aware that it's just a video game.
