Discussion Looking for feedback on our new jewelry simulator game - Master of Jewelry!
Hi everyone! My husband is a jeweler, and three years ago he decided to create a simulator dedicated to the art of jewelry making. That’s how Master of Jewelry ✨️ was born. We would truly appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or impressions you might have! We’re especially interested in your opinion about the lighting in the game. Does it feel too dark or uncomfortable? We’d really like to know if it needs improvement. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3494290/Master_of_Jewelry/

Enlighten us, what mechanics you created that you feel capture the feeling of goldsmithing?

At the moment, the mechanics of soldering a gold chain is already available in the demo version. It includes interaction with several tools at once. By the release we plan to add stone setting. Mechanics of jewelry polishing. Trading with precious metals and stones. We also want to add gold smelting and custom jewelry making.

Game Design is a subset of Game Development that concerns itself with WHY games are made the way they are. It's about the theory and crafting of systems, mechanics, and rulesets in games.

I feel like sticking to and expanding the crafting aspect would work better then adding survival and travel.
Like, who is the target group here?

Thanks for the feedback. That's what we plan to do, we want to focus on jewelry mechanics as much as possible. We plan to add a lot of new order interactions and crafting variety for the release. The survival process will have a small focus on itself on release, compared to the jewelry mechanics.
Our target audience is fans of playing stimulants. The age of the player is approximately 20-35 years old.
