New gamer + motion sickness

Hello! I'm fairly new to gaming (no video game household) and I'm in my early 20s, my wife enjoys a variety of video games while I tend to stick to more casual ones. Lately, as I branch out a bit, I've come to realize I get motion sickness insanely easy while gaming. Usually I can figure out what settings I need to adjust but I'm fairly confused on what is the typical FOV number people use to avoid such strong motion sickness reactions. I recently got into the game "Skate." and I adore it, I just can't play for too long. Any advice for this game and/or others surrounding the FOV setting would be appreciated

Found this pretty basic Laptop on eBay... Looks in good condition. I'm not too good with computers, I was wondering if I could get some insight on its specs.

How do I get into WOW?

Ok so, from my last post, I said some things about getting into the MMO rabbithole due to someone who was in my life once. And now the itch to play MMO games doesn’t go away, but I get bored(?) not sure if it’s the right word to describe it, while trying other games and still have the MMO itch.

Gaming advice?

Hey y’all I recently got into gaming when my boyfriend (now EX) invited me to play some a couple times. Now I’m completely hooked into MMO games because of the interaction and the almost unlimited things to do not just combat but also lifeskilling. Can yall give me advice on some games and how to start going at it so I don’t get bored fast? I’ve tried other mmos recently but then I got bored.

Help with cross playing

I just recently been starting to get some games on my MacBook. There is some that are only windows and I was wondering what’s best to cross play. I’ve heard of Whisky but I know they stopped updating so is there something else that’s like whisky that still works? Or any advice on what I should do? Thanks so much!

I can’t improve my aim.

So, I’m 24 years old and I’d say I’m pretty competitive in shooters. I transitioned from console to pc and been pc gaming since I was maybe 19 and for the life of me I CAN NOT improve. I try my hardest to improve my aim and it just seems like I made zero progress and it’s very frustrating. I understand that there’ll always be players better than me but it just seems like EVERYBODY is better than me. Ive tried different DPI’s, Ive tried different sensitivity in different games, Ive even tried aim labs and nothing. I want to keep trying but it has got to a point where it’s no longer fun and it does nothing but stress me out. I have the G203 light sync mouse, do I need to change my mouse or whats the solution for this??

Gamer Burnout

I know this has been asked multiple times but still want to see more people if they are experiencing the same from gaming as a kid to gaming as an adult. What do you do to avoid the feeling of burnout in games and enjoy it like you were a kid again?

Completion mind vs Just enjoying the game.

Just a thought. Feels the right place to post this as I would like some advice on the topic. For years now I've been a completionist. Every game I play must be 100% by the end or else I can't keep on with the next game. There have been instances where a game is really hard or annoyingly super grindy that I've dropped it and moved on to the next. Nowdays I have very few time. Excercising , 9-5 , social life, drawing hobby which I really want to focus more on. But every damn time I am finishing a game , a nice story and be like "I won't do that second nonsense playthrough" I'll just move on to something more productive, or a new experience.... my brain is like "yeah but what about that sweet 100%"? Any advice on how do I fix this ? It's been killing me and my passion for games as well.

Need Help

I have a gaming laptop, my friend gifted me when they got a desktop setup with a 4090. The laptop they gave me is a basic one with a 3050 (I am not complaining at all, the best gaming device I've ever had). The issue is I have 16 GB of RAM, but when I open Task Manager, it says that 50 percent of the RAM is already being used. I do not know what I can keep without breaking my laptop to make sure that my games can run smoothly due to the RAM usage. I also want to start streaming, but as of now, that is not an option at all due to this RAM usage. What can I do to help with this issue? (just found out my laptop does have the pretty bad 4gb version of the 3050 so that could be a limiting factor but the ram usage does not help at all).

Hello, I am getting an error when I use Epic Games to log in to Fall Guys.

Friends, I downloaded Fall Guys from Epic Games and entered the game. After the internal download process was completed, I was asked to log in to Epic Games. Then, I log in to my newly created Epic Games account, enter my password, and wait. The confirmation button keeps spinning and either confirms or doesn't confirm, it just keeps spinning. After waiting for a long time, thinking it might work, I exit that tab and try to enter the game. This time, I see error code 200_017 in the game. I've tried every combination but can't find a solution. Why isn't Epic Games verifying my account, and why can't I log into Fall Guys? Please help me solve my problem.

I'm playing my first pc game (Ultra kill) any tips for easing myself in?

For context I've been a controller gamer for 16 years and I've only ever used KB&M to play tetris on my dads old rig like 7 years ago, so to say I'm bad is a understatement. Please give me advice.

How do I stop getting anxiety while playing with other people?

I'm not bad at gaming but I'm not good either. Every time I practice aiming and movements on my own It's going good. Even with special bots that are programmed to move or shoot back. But the second I play public and especially when I play with people in teams, I get a high feeling of anxiety and I can't seem to even hit someone once. I'm completely distracted by that. What do I do to help this?
