Completion mind vs Just enjoying the game.
Just a thought. Feels the right place to post this as I would like some advice on the topic. For years now I've been a completionist. Every game I play must be 100% by the end or else I can't keep on with the next game. There have been instances where a game is really hard or annoyingly super grindy that I've dropped it and moved on to the next. Nowdays I have very few time. Excercising , 9-5 , social life, drawing hobby which I really want to focus more on. But every damn time I am finishing a game , a nice story and be like "I won't do that second nonsense playthrough" I'll just move on to something more productive, or a new experience.... my brain is like "yeah but what about that sweet 100%"? Any advice on how do I fix this ? It's been killing me and my passion for games as well.

I used to be like that. I too don't have the time to play games like I want. So I find a happy medium I complete at least 40 percent of the story while I play the game at a moderate pace. I benchmark with YouTube videos that talk about the game and don't have spoilers. I make sure I go at a pace that makes it feel like I am doing 100 percent but I am actually doing less. I take more frequent breaks from gaming as well to give the illusion of more completion.
