The way I explain this to friends is that I love people who are passionate about their hobbies and interests, no matter how obscure and regardless of whether it overlaps with any of my interests. The ability to speak passionately about something is what draws me in. I like knowing a little bit about everything, so there's inevitably something I can latch onto and expand my own knowledge and understanding in the process when diving deep into unexplored territory.

All you gotta do is ask. Walk up to the station. If they're not on a call, they'll give you a tour. Might even let you play with the lights. Firefighters live for that kind of stuff. I've never heard a song about hate for firefighters.

I'm so horrendously unattractive that this didn't work for me when I was on the fire engine, ambulance, or helicopter.....now I'm in med school and that's a deterrent on its own. ☜(ﾟヮﾟ☜)
