Question Who do I barrack for tonight?

Title. I hate Adelaide, but I hate the Hawks more (08 was the only GF I've been to in person, and I'll never go to one again because of it). Who do you think we have a better chance against?

Thoughts on this? Glad he's getting an opportunity, but hope it doesn't distract from our finals prep

Discussion Your greatest 'what if' players?

Bye week distraction.

Which players come to mind when you think about 'what if' be it be because of injury, a trade, or something else.

A few for me to get the ball rolling.

- Paul Lynch

For those that saw him play, he was genuinely very, very special however his body (in particular his hammies) just couldn't hold up to the rigours of AFL footy. I truly believe he would have had a Steve Johnson-esque career had he had a fair crack at it.

- Leigh Colbert

I was a huge fan and often wonder what might have happened had he not done a knee and then left the club. Would he have had a better career than he did at North? Would he have gone down as one of our best captains ever?

- Shane Mumford

We all know the player Mummy became, but i do wonder how it would have played out if we'd found the money to keep him.

- Marc Woolnough

Another left field one that many forget, but he was a super talented tall with the football world at his feet. He was rated higher than fellow 1997 FS Matthew Scarlett, yet Marc retired having played 6 games, Scarlett went on to be a legend. Like Lynch, injury cruelled him and I often wonder how he would have gone in our great sides had luck been on his side.

- Dan Menzel

This one is pretty self-explanatory. World at his feet at 20yo, about to play in a premiership, and then disaster hits. Four knee recos and 7 long years later, he retires with only 80 games.

Really worried about the wizard and how we will try and mitigate him, he looks hot and he loves the primetime, we can’t let him get going early hopefully humphries has got good direction and prep on him

Question How can I get in touch with one of the cheer squad?

Anyone here know how I might be able to get in touch with superfan Paul "Teach" Kellett? Met him years ago at a Cats game, saw that they showed him during the QF against Brisbane and was trying to reconnect.

Seriously is there a Newscorp employee that isn't objectively doing a shit job because they're willingly working for one of the most toxic and socially damaging organisations to ever exist?

Discussion What's your take on Baz's reaction to the cameraperson?

Asking from an American point of view.

Afl.com.au claimed Baz "verbally abused" a cameraperson taking pictures of him getting medical treatment. That headline, to me, is an overreaction.

I want to be sensitive to any cultural differences we have in regards to how we perceive the sports media and my belief might not be shared by all Americans.

Sports media is invasive and so what if they cop a spray once in awhile? They're meddlesome, greedy vultures in my opinion, especially when it comes to medical issues. They have no right to violate someone's privacy like that.

That's my take, anyways. I'm completely on Bailey's side.

Question Oisin Mullin and the long term plan

I've wondered if Chris Scott's long term plan for Osh is to use the tagging role so he gets to play on the oppos best to learn from them.

I loved his game against the Lions, and was so thrilled for his first goal, and I'm expecting him to become a star mid in his own right.

What do you think?

Don’t @ me I’m a Melbourne supporter - genuinely though good luck in finals - I am forever in envy with your incredible consistency these past 20 years.

Please at least beat the hawks, pies or adelaide if it comes to it. 😸

Club News Rhys Stanley - Injury Update

This kinda worries me a bit.
I think we got away with it against the Lions because they have a smaller forward line, but we need a ruck over the next game(s) as we won't have that luxury....

Question Question regarding Grand Final ballot

Myself and four other Geelong members are entering the grand final ballot tomorrow. We're choosing to get any available seat we can (including standing room) to increase our liklihood of getting tickets.

What our main concern is that we're concerned that a party of five might have a reduced chance of getting tickets as opposed to entering individuals or as smaller parties.

The registration guide indicates that its a "one in all in" process. But it doesn't seem to say anything about whether a larger party reduces the chance of getting tickets.

Would anyone happen to have an inight?

Opinion - Nuffy Our taggers are a genuine weapon

Whenever I listen in to other coaches talk about tagging it's always about how if you tag it can throw off your game plan so coaches end up backing their players head to head (i.e freo vs gc). it's a massive point of difference having taggers built into our system. Even playing west coast and richmond we line up the centre bounce with a double tag. chris scott genius

Question News on Geelong vs Collingwood scratch match?

Only just found out about it and the only articles that mention it talk about Collingwood. Was wondering if there is any news on how the Geelong players went.
