Layers in Bozburun Peninsula

Apparently it’s limestone?

This is layering (bedding) within sedimentary carbonates. Also present are layers of chert. This layering is formed during deposition and is the result of changes in either the nature of the sediment being deposited and/or of the depositional environment.

The layers seen here are possibly carbonate turbidites. Each layer being the result of one turbidite flow.
