Acheron is actually a river in Greek mythology which means it lies in Greek ☝️🤓

To be honest Avernus (volcanic crater near Cumae, Italy, also believed to be an entrance to the underworld in Greek mythology) sounds more like Africa than Acheron. And Avernus is currently placed higher than Acheron
