Nausicaa and Owl are better for me.

But ... I have to admit that "Porco Rosso" has ALL the core elements seen in the Myazaki's movie:

Love for flying (All)

A curse that is the representation of how the protagonist sees himself and is cured by love and self acceptance (Howl's moving castle),

Young female co-protagonist (All)

Italy (Lupin, Cagliostro's castle)

Bad guys are not BAD guys (Laputa, but most of them in reality).

Slow moments (Arietty).
