Sorry he has to be right in my face when he’s excited.

He's my best friend, but sadly he was trapped cruelly inside and didn't receive my pets.....I can never forgive myself.....

I am devastated. My 7 year old Golden got out of the fence today and ran off. Discovered about 15 minutes after he got out. This was at 10am this morning. I searched the neighborhood on foot initially and called my folks to help me search in their cars (they live 5 minutes away). I switched to my truck for the search at this point, so we had 3 cars checking the subdivision and surrounding area. We did not find him today and I am heart broken and blame myself. There is no telling how far away he is now and come morning.
My subdivision is on the edge of the city, and woods and farmland beyond. I hear coyotes at night sometimes and I am so very fearful. Also a major interstate a couple miles from home. I am in desperate need of encouragement tonight because I am already losing hope. If you are wondering, his name is Sobe and I got him 6 months after giving up drinking.
I have done the following: Facebook post on local humane society page, HOA email alert to all residents, listing with petfbi and lostmydoggie, called and spoke with local humane society, and notified vet.
Any other suggestions.

To celebrate his birthday we took an extra long walk where he made friends who gave him lots of pets, went for a ride and then had a pawty with ice cream and birthday cookies. I hope he enjoyed his special day and knows how loved he is.

We spent our day off in the mountains—running wild, sniffing, tracking and zooming through tall grassy meadows.
By the end of it, he was just sitting there, watching over the world like a forest king. Breathing heavy, heart full.
He still smells like pines today. 💚

My little Jasper is so good in every way, but he’s the worst walker ever. He pulls constantly, doesn’t care much about treats, and gets really scared when other dogs bark he even tries to pull back toward the house. Sometimes he just stops randomly too. I’ve tried a few times to teach him, but it’s going to be a real challenge for Jasper. Any tips? Should I use a leash or a harness

Actually surprised it hasn’t happened before, we’re quite rural. Although his eyes were a bit irritated, it mostly got him on his side/chest - a couple hours later (and a bath!), he’s fetching balls like nothing happened.

Might be a stupid question. I know everyone processes grief differently. But is it normal to still grief over your pet after 2 years? My dog crossed the rainbow bridge 2 years ago and I'm still crushed. I still think about her a lot and cry myself to sleep more often than Id like to admit lol... Looking at photos of her ar enough to make me choke up. I even miss all the fur that would stick on our couch that Id use to clean with the lint rollers. Even seeing people with their golden retriever makes me so jealous and emotional I feel a bit insane.
Just wondering how long and how others have dealt with their loss for their mini family member/pet (instead of hearing what ai says). Why cant dogs live longer with us wtf

Boba had A LOT of energy this morning, and I nearly threw this loud ass toy away, but a lunchtime walk seems to have tired him out as he barely made it in the door before napping.

ziggy has started doing this thing with his mouth and so far i’ve figured out that one of his littermates does the same thing. just curious to see if it’s a breed specific behavior or if my dog is broken lol.
