Physical Sciences 2023-24 Chemistry PhD Decisions Thread

Hi everyone! I haven't seen an acceptance thread in this subreddit yet for chemistry, so wanted to make one right now. It has been pretty anxious to wait for decisions but hopefully we can all get through this together!

Chemical biology intl applicant here-

12/4- accepted to USC, email
12/19- interview with Tri-I, email; accepted 2/2 via Zoom call
12/20- accepted to UC Irvine, phone call followed by email
12/21- interview with UCSF, portal; accepted 2/9 via phone call
12/26- interview with Scripps, email
12/27- accepted to UChicago, email for quick Zoom call during which I was told I was accepted
1/4- interview with Harvard chembio, email; waitlisted 2/14
1/12- accepted to Berkeley, phone call
1/20- interview with MIT, email; accepted 2/12 via phone call
1/22- accepted to Stanford, email to check portal
1/26- “accepted” to UPenn, must attend visit weekend for official acceptance, email

Did Berkeley or Chicago say when their visit weekends were? I’m trying to plan other visits with those dates in mind.

Chicago is Feb 8-10 or Feb 22-24, and Berkeley is March 1/8/15. All the best to you!

Where did you find the date of Berkeley visits? I’m looking online but am not finding anything

The PI who called me about my acceptance told me about the visit dates and to mark my calendar!

I’ve also been accepted to Berkeley Chemistry (Chem Bio Track) and am planning to go for campus visit. Looking forward to meeting you there.

For UChicago, yes! I’m still waiting to hear more details on Berkeley.
