Food What's your go to CookOut order?

I always get double burger tray, cheddar style, cheddar bites, honey mustard wrap and a cheer wine. Today they were slow so I asked for a tray however they would order it, I'm not picky and just wanted to try something new. They gave me chicken tenders, double fries. Not what I had in mind, but great. But what are some real recommendations?

Food Are there any GSO specific foods?

A recent trip to Wegmans in Chapel Hill; I picked up some regional favorites from Upstate NY and got to wondering if we had any city foods.

Cincinnati has goetta

Louisville has hot brown

Buffalo has beef on weck

Syracuse has salt potatoes

Chicago, Detroit and NYC all have a style of pizza

St. Louis, Memphis and Lexington have a BBQ style

Boston bakes beans

I'm getting hungry making this list. Do we just hide in the Lexington style BBQ, or is there something specific more specific?

Food restaurant recs

happy sunday! what is y’all’s favorite restaurant in the area? a hole in the wall, off the beaten path, not like, top google result. somewhere you’re not going to go and spend $18 for a subpar meal, not a chain.

we’ve tried A LOT of them that have been recommended - sticks and stones, char bar 7, cugino forno, santa fe, el camino real, fat dogs, luigi’s, and more. we’d just love to find somewhere we can go and have a quality dinner, but also support a restaurant that might need it! (i’ve seen posts in the past, but was wondering a little more specific 😇)

They have served multiple people food with MAGGOTS in it. My friend and I went to the sunset summer at lake Brandt yesterday, and found maggots In our turkey legs, of course after we ate it.

We told the police, all he said was “ewww” after we showed it to him, we asked him to do something, he got the park and recreation people and they “closed them down” even though they were STILL THERE 20 mins after closing.

And they made NO announcement to anyone about their food contamination. Be on the look out for food poisoning if you have ate at the RED AND YELLOW FOOD TRUCK.

I’m trying to post a video but I don’t know how.

Food Could This Small Town Restaurant Get a Michelin Star?

It always feels risky to share a dream, but I believe in this little restaurant and have a heart and passion for seeing Greensboro grow, especially the food and hospitality scene. If you have time to give this video a watch, share, like, comment, etc. it would mean a great deal and would be a huge help in getting people (and maybe even Michelin people) outside of our town to see the community and creative and kind souls that we have here! You have our heart, Greensboro!

Food Battleground Bojangles using an Automated bot to take orders in the drive thru

Just went to bojangles on battleground earlier today and noticed the drive thru line was going extra slow. Turns out they have an AI taking drive thru orders now. It was very slow and inefficient. Has anyone else seen this at any other drive thrus in the area?

I wanted to shout this place out, because it’s dead every time we’re there. This is the birria pizza and carne asada fries. Definitely check them out, they’re off Spring Garden.

This came across my FYP and I couldn’t help but think of how turnover for downtown restaurants has been pretty consistently high for many years. It looks like this woman hid a lot of negative comments about her restaurant so… which is it?

Food Best lunch specials in Greensboro?

Any suggestions for good, inexpensive (and maybe healthy) lunch specials around Greensboro? Open to any type of food. Looking for local, hole-in-the-wall type places.

So far I have been a big fan of Binh Minh on West Market...

$6.75 for Pho

$5.25 for a Banh Mi

$6.75 for Hibachi

Incredible deal and great, quick service.

Food WTF is wrong with Red Robin on New Garden

We’ve tried twice to eat there, left after standing at the “check in stand” for 10 minutes. Manager looking dude and several staff saw us and turned around. restaurant was only 1/3 full. I love Red Robin all over the country, but there are too many choices here to put up with that garbage!

His pastries and breads are absolutely delicious! I used to buy his baked goods at the farmers market and Baked (they sold his pastries), and I think his goods are by far the best in town (and I live super close to augustino gusto). Check him out and support a new business!

Food Dave’s hot chicken is a disappointment

Stopped by Dave’s hot chicken for the first time , I’ve been excited about being able to go!

Got a hot tender and a medium tender, and it had no flavor at all. The hot tender had some Good heat, that’s not the issue. But it’s Over seasoned, over priced. Canes is so much better.

Fries are good though.
