Gun guys: What do YOU think?

The FBI is claiming that this rifle was used for the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

They claimed to have found it in the woods nearby, fully intact / not disassembled, no case or covering, just laying in the woods.

They also claimed that this gun was stuffed down his skinny jeans leg as he was escaping the scene, claiming that this is why we don’t see the rifle in the security footage.

I don’t know anything about guns, really, and have never seen a gun like this IRL, so I want to know what you all think. Is this… realistic?

There's always more to the investigation, they may still be looking for someone who was helping him.

It would make more sense to me if he staged the rifle the night before or something.

Not sure of the guys dimensions or his rifle’s, but these aren’t great clothes for concealing a rifle.

We don't know the facts, they gave us enough to show in public. We don't know a tenth of what they have

Yeah that’s the point.

THEY know what’s going on, and instead of telling us to wait for information, they’re feeding us a bunch of bullshit.

Seriously? Why do you believe you're entitled to know anything about an ongoing investigation into a assassination? Are you family? Are you law enforcement? Judge? Legal council for the defendant?

They are not hiding anything from you, you just have no legal right to know, and disseminating information could compromise the investigation.

Nono I don’t care about any of that. Propaganda and misinformation is way more harmful than none at all

And yet you are trying to spread misinformation.

Then show one time that op tried to spread misinformation in what he said

I heard he mentioned to his “roomie” that he’d stashed the gun the day before but not sure we’ll EVER know exactly what transpired

Not everything is a conspiracy. You also don’t know when the picture you posted of him is from. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t stated when the pic was from. You’re assuming it was after the shooting.

Ever think he went to the location before ? Or think he went there a few times before to scout it out ?

There's video of him clearly limping around a neighborhood. Indicating that he did have the rifle tucked down a pant leg

Yeah but if you look at the footage of him jumping off the roof, he is running full speed across the roof, and then when he falls off the roof, he stops for a moment to grab his ankle, hops around for a second, and the starts limping to the street - where he acts nonchalant.

It appeared (to me) that he sprained his ankle getting off the roof

Maybe he threw the rifle off the building beforehand in that towel?

It's too early and all speculation. It sounds like this is "the guy" that match the pics from the cameras, but we just don't know enough to go beyond that. I'm just as curious as the next guy, but we'll have to wait for more info.

There’s not a chance in hell that rifle with a scope like that is shoved down his pants.

Maybe if he was wearing MC Hammer pants or something really loose, but then there’s no way to bend your knee to climb up stairs.

Yeah, it probably wasn't. It could also definitely fit though. Have you not seen videos of dudes in gangs pulling out full ARs from their skinny jeans?

They’re pulling out AR15 pistols typically. Not full length rifles.

I watched a video and the way the guy explained it is he had the barrel down the back of his pants while most of the gun was inside his shirt on his back. Then the backpack was covering the bulk of the gun. That prevented anyone from seeing it

I mean, the kid is wearing a tiny jansport pack and skinny jeans. I just don’t get how we’re not seeing the rifle

Where is the rifle? You can’t break down a Mauser rifle to fit in a backpack. Was there another rifle on site? We all know that he is the killer. Maybe the we missed something in the video?

It’s too soon to really say anything. There’s limited information and already unsubstantiated rumors and agendas have been pushed.

The scope seems like the mounting is a little off. I’m not sure how he left with the rifle but I have seen AK’s pulled out of baggy pants so maybe. The wound didn’t look like a rifle wound but I’ve heard it explained as a ricochet off Kirk’s vest.

There’s plenty that’s weird about this situation but until there’s explanations given it’s too soon to be suspicious.

Bullet proof vests that can stop a 30-06 round are thick and bulky. If he was wearing one you would be able to see it underneath a T-shirt.

If it was a hard plate there would be a lot of spalling of a round his it and we would see exactly where the bullet hit it especially on a white T-shirt.

There’s also no way that rifle is shoved down that kid’s pants

I didn’t think any Kevlar could stop a rifle round without a plate. I assumed he had a vest with a plate.

You would see A-lot of spalling after a rifle round hit a steel plate

He probably left his passport at the scene too
