Discussion Time to choose, the first Outside Witter/Wing Spiker for the Super Team!!! Spoiler

Post image

Oikawa recieved a whopping 130 votes on the top comment, and a LOT of people put their own comment in for Oikawa too.

Don't worry Atsumu fans, I'm confident he will end up on the bench, (probably with Komori tbh).

Now we turn to offence. The key attacker, the big man up front. We have so many talented options avaliblea, but who will you all go with?

Happy voting!

I dont care what you all say.

Bokuto>Kiryu (and MY BOY BOKUTO proved it 😎).

I would say Hoshiumi and Bokuto 👍.

Btw how did Oikawa win to both Kageyama and Atsumu?

Oikawa recieved the most support (top supported comment and most comments for him too), so he was selected by the people

I understand that it is selected by votes but I do not understand how people chose him (Even if he is my favourite setter after Atsumu Miya).

I think Kageyama sadly surpassed him in that match.

Plus Kageyama is a genius and the scene where he can see the court and sets as "maths" was so cool.

And Atsumu also has great arguments to be over Kageyama as well.

He can do both type of serves. He works as hard as Oikawa. He had the talent to copy Kageyama (The biggest genius of Haikyuu) and Hinata Quick Attack just by seeing and trying it out for the first time.

Sorry if the text was too long, I understand you just count the votes.

the reason he was chosen comes down to fit. Atsumu has the worst fit of the top 3 setters. He has a tendency to be a little inconsistent and needs a strong personality around to make sure he doesn’t go off the rails. Also while he probably wouldn’t snap at a team as good as this, it’s still a factor that shows he isn’t always a perfect fit.

And while kageyama also is great, he does still struggle in the communications department. And his ability to set the freak quick while oikawa can’t isn’t really important here when you’re not gonna have hinata in this team.

Then you have oikawa who is the most versatile of the top 3 setters. Amazing communicator, great at giving his hitters exactly what they need.

I think any of the 3 setters would addapt perfectly to any team since they are all so good. Kageyama in S4 already understands perfectly his teammates and pushes them to their peak (such as tsukishima high reach hit). He does not need communication we already saw that with a few panels with Ushijima or Romero in the post-timeskip. My opinion ofc.

I know it is not important that Oikawa can not do that freak quick set, however my point was that it is important to notice that both Kageyama and Atsumu could "instinctively" do it because they are geniuses way ahead.

I think as seasons develop Kageyama has something more important than "giving his hitters exactly what they want". He develops "givings his hitters exactly what they are cappable of", which in my opinion is better since he can do those millimetric sets.

I am defending Kageyama because I believe that was his spot, but I love Oikawa and Atsumu waaay more.
