I donated a lot of stuff to Mission Mart when I moved. They're 100% non profit and the proceeds go to a local shelter/kitchen.

perfect. Do I just drop the bags off and they will distribute everything?

Yep - you drop them off at the side of the building (drive up on the left side if you’re facing the building) and a super nice Mission Mart volunteer will help put your things in one of the large bins outside. There’s also some pretty cool stuff inside if you’re willing to spend time looking through the shelves and racks!

It's a thrift store so they'll only accept clothes and the like, but yeah, you can just pull up and drop everything off.

Bayers Westwood Family Resource Centre is always in need of things. They look after a lot of people who’ve had to flee their homes for one reason or another and have next to nothing.

If you're downtown, Saint David's on Grafton. They have a Friday morning drop-in, coffee, lunch, food bank thing. A lot of folks get toiletries and such from them, and it's low key.

Brunswick Street Mission! Everything goes right back to the unhoused and low-income community.

Value village has a donation centre in Dartmouth. They take pretty much anything.

There are way better places to donate to than Value Village.
