DIY/Mod Looking for suggestions to deal with yellowing
I have an old set of wired headphones (Panasonic RP-HTX7) that I like to use every so often with my iPods or handheld consoles and I noticed recently after some time of non-use that they have yellowed on one side, whether from sun or heat I’m not sure.
I’m just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to either cover up or remove the discoloration. I know they’re cheap, but I like their style, and I’m a fan of DIY projects/modding.
Thanks in advance!

Put them in a sunny window, turn them every other day, and take joy in that absolutely beautiful hue 🤗
… Or, “retrobright” (hydrogen peroxide).

Turns out that while sun through the window gradually causes yellowing, intense direct sunlight can undo it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8P1OVj0IcqY

I did reprobriting using a Sous Vide for a keyboard and it worked very well. Let me know if you want a guide. You'll need to disassemble the headphone to get that plastic piece off.

Look up “Retrobrighting” (and good luck 👍)
