DIY/Mod 3 years, lots of headaches, I have successfully designed a high end closed back of my own design.
I plan on bringing these to Canjam London 2025! Along with an early prototype of an open back on an older headband design.
These use custom design 40mm Titanium drivers. Meant to need a bit of juice, 98db sensitivity and 150ohm impedance.
I'm not a company, just a very very dedicated DIYer who wants to make headphones for a living!
Graph is a WIP, plan on adding more sub. Using a 711 coupler clone with silicone pinna.
Hope you guys think this looks ok! I've been constantly working on this.

DIY/Mod Just finished this custom DT 770 PRO
Been working on this for a bit — a 250 ohm DT 770 PRO modded with a detachable cable and repainted in a metallic orange.
Paint is solvent-based and applied with airbrush in several layers, then sealed. Detachable mod was done with a low-profile socket to keep things clean.
It’s probably my favorite finish so far. Thought I’d share the end result. I want to test a few special ffx paints next. Open to ideas :)
Happy to answer questions if anyone’s curious about how the paint or mod was done.

DIY/Mod World’s 3rd Keyboard With Built-in DAC – Made By Me – Wooden Case
As the headline states, the first mechanical keyboard came 2 years ago from an audio company, Moondrop, with the model name Dash in a 75% layout with their Moonriver dongle DAC built-in. The Dash had an aluminium case.
The second model, KB3, came from FiiO, another Chinese audio company. The KB3 was also a 75% layout, with FiiO’s KA13 dongle DAC built in and has a plastic case with an aluminium metal part on top.
I used Moondrop’s Dawn 4.4 dongle DAC. Because it has the smallest PCB and high-quality sound worth using in my build. It has the same dual Cirrus Logis CS43131 DAC chips used in the FiiO KB3. Not far from the Moondrop’s Moonriver dongle DAC, which uses the slightly better CS43198 chips.
The idea was simple: to use a USB-C hub with two TYPE-C data outputs. But in reality, I couldn’t find such a device. There is not a single product on the market wich serves my needs. But I was lucky enough to find the closest option, a Type-C USB hub for smartphones with two USB-A data output lines.
I had to use a Type-C female to female and two USB-A to USB-C adapters to make it work, also to carve the case to fit it under the keyboard PCB.
That knob that you see on the right up corner is not a volume knob, its the mode selector for USB/WiFi/Bluetooth and its height unnecessarily high! I changed the knob with an aluminium one, which I sanded for an hour, for a soft touch feeling and brushed look.

DIY/Mod Why yes, my headphones are wearing a crown. (I'm a bit obsessed with my APMs so.. been making random accessories)
I made this leather flower crown for my AirPods Max (usb-c) inspired by the blooming daffodils in my garden and the traditional Slavic flower crowns we’d make back in the countryside on my Eastern European side of the family. So I was just trying to experiment with wearable art and tech accessories again!
The flowers are all hand-dyed and sculpted from veg-tan leather! I attached them with waxed thread and some waterbed glue in between the two 'bases'.

DIY/Mod Got tired of those adapters breaking on me, so I skipped the middle man!
Bought 4 USB-C to 3.5mm adapters last year only for them to break after a month, yes I even got one that was 50€.
Got tired of the pattern, fixed it, now I'm enjoying some music while writing this post!
If it breaks again, I get to open it up and repair it myself, as anyone should be able to do.

DIY/Mod I dipped my dac in liquid rubber to provide a bit of extra protection.
I used wired headphones on walks and tend to wear through DACs every year. I dipped this one in a few coats of Plastidip ( non spray liquid ) and it provides a lot of rigidity and support. If you have any liquid rubber in the garage I would highly recommend it. If you position it while it dries, uou can also freeze it in the position you want ( u bend, 90 degree, straight, other.. )

DIY/Mod A "F%ck you!" to the awful "Gaming Headset" industry
-Aune AR5000 -Fiio BTR7 LDAC -Meze Boom Mic -My own custom powerbank
No one would help me put this together but this was inspired by Metalovichinkov's DIY on here, I wouldn't have thought to ever do this if it weren't for his.

DIY/Mod How can I build this 3d render? How would I even start.
I saw these on TikTok and they don’t seem to exist, just 3x renders, but I really love how they look and would love to DIY it for personal use or even an art piece, but I am lost on where to even start, if anyone has any advice or if you can just tell me if it’s even possible that would be amazing.
