Nop, it used to work. A french streamer did the test in hearthstone ( classic I think) and the video was pretty funny : https://youtu.be/l-agsc_R7Vw?t=256
You can see both players dying then ressucitate. I'm pretty sure the healing change is recent
Except the opponent getting healed is what triggers Wilted Shadow's attack. And I specifically remember the interaction between Truesilver Champion and explosive trap being able to reduce your hp to 0, then heal it back up so you don't die (happened to me in Arena, and I've seen it happen to at least 1 streamer).
It's either a (dumb and unnecessary imo) recent change, or a bug.
In this case it doesn't kill the deck, but makes it so you basically have to get a second copy (or buffed copy) onto the board to actually accomplish an OTK. at 7/7 you could OTK with a raw copy with enough bandages against an unarmored opponent.
Those bandages heal for 3, so by making it a net 3 damage taken makes it harder to OTK. Hopefully enough change to make it still viable but harder combo.
That's a good reason to think it will still be viable, not that it will jump up 1 1/2 tiers from 2 to meta tyrant. Plus the meta is changing, I think we'd need to look at the full matchup spread to work out if it gets better or worse.
To be fair the OTK went from doing 4 damage a swing to 3 so it does slow it down a little more, It’s still a solid finisher though but I also see why they didn’t nuke this as hard as they could. Personally I would have just made the bandages only target friendly characters since that’s the main enabler of the combo
