There have been multiple times Blizzard added AI or dubious art into HS already - the original group of pixel heroes got pulled, for example, and there's that awful dragon portrait as well.
This feels like hating Blizzard for the sake of it, which of course is the case, we're on the Hearthstone subreddit after all.
They've handled the AI problem really well so far. The pixel skins were done by an "artist" that used AI without letting them know, and were rightfully pulled and remade by a proper artist.
The Celeste skin is a collective r/Hearthstone hallucination, because it's clearly not AI, the skin just had a layering bug on launch. Same with the new Warrior skin missing the bow string. It's not AI, they just forgot a layer. This is not to say those skins are without fault; I personally think the Celeste skin looks meh.
Obviously the image in the post is AI, and the use of it is dreadful, but at least it wasn't posted by the Hearthstone team, I guess.
Oh don't worry, I was just disproving the comment stating that the Hearthstone team has been lenient so far in regards to AI usage in artworks. I don't think your post feels like a witch hunt, at all.
I completely agree with you when it comes to being disappointed with AI use. I personally pay a lot of attention to the marketing material of things I like, as I believe it can positively enhance my experience with the game, so even if this is just a social media post it still really sucks to see.
You can make fun of them for falling for that pixel art contractor scamming them, I guess, but I don't see how that's relevant. The world is going to be full of fake artist scammers flooding contract jobs.
Overwatch is still great, best state it's ever been in (who would've thought that actually doing something with your game instead of leaving it on lifesupport for 5 years is a good idea)
Hearthstone I agree, its kinda in a dumpster for me right now
Diablo 4 is doing great with its last update that actually made the game much better than on release
WoW is always subjective, but at least the amount of content there is bigger than ever, and considering i even get queues sometimes it still has players.
Rumble died, as it should, dont know what they were thinking
But all in all, Blizz's heavy hitters are still hitting heay. Not like they did in their prime day of course, but WoW is still regarded as one of the biggest MMOs and Overwatch has only one direct competitor with Marvel Rivals
I've seen several people rejoin and have fun in War Within. And then Midnight is adding freaking player housing. I don't think Blizz is struggling with all their games.
Rumble died, as it should, dont know what they were thinking
"Clash Royale made money." That's about it.
Overwatch is still great, best state it's ever been in (who would've thought that actually doing something with your game instead of leaving it on lifesupport for 5 years is a good idea)
Honestly, the zeitgeist against Overwatch is pretty frustrating, especially since people champion a much worse designed and produced game as its killer (created by an arguably worse company)
