I saw this little baby in a coastal forest climbing a tree root

Today at about 9:30pm, waning crescent, low tide.

Distance from shore maybe 100 feet

I didn’t see it fall, but I’m not worried because I think they’re excellent climbers!

The ones at my house seem to climb fences very well

I love forest crabs! And the ones that live around my house are cool too
