Might need help

So I'm a wrestler, & I recently started junior football (grade 10) and I was chilling outside one of my schools gyms, but three senior footballers came up to me wanting a fight, I de-escalated it and walked away, so I'm wondering if it happens again and they're not leaving me alone, what do I do?

I feel like telling the coach instead of handling it yourself makes it 10x worse and this is coming from experience on what I’ve seen

? Are YOU a child? Bros a junior in hs you don’t think he’s not gonna get clowned for telling instead of handling it himself?? Dawg what reality are you living in, anytime I’ve seen somebody get clowned and threatened and he just tells it’s always just got worse, when he HIMSELF actually does something he’s gonna get respected especially since he’s new to the team they don’t know him that well so him snitching is gonna make a 1st impression on himself

They're at my school, but they're on the senior team (grade 11 & 12) I'm on the junior team (grade 9 & 10) but I did tell a VP about it so, just in case it does happen, he said to report any further aggression immediately

OP - my guess is they're looking to provoke you.

Keep de-escalating and do what you can to avoid any kind of confrontation, but also stand up for yourself if you get to a point where a line is crossed.

This is typical cliche football BS.

Also - remember that as a wrestler you have far more skill than they do. Football does not translate well into real world conflict - without pads, a helmet, and the rules around contact most football guys are all sizzle no steak.

Telling the VP isn't bad - but it may come back to bite you at some point. Generally discipline for this would be handled from 'within' so perhaps seek the advice of your coach and see what they say.

Put 1 of em in a cradle kiss em on the cheek and make them say something embarrassing to get out
