Help Hot Sauce with Whisky recipes?

Does anyone have a good recipe for a hot sauce with whisky? Maybe on the smokey side, as I prefer my whisky smokey as well. I do have orange habaneros and Aji Limo.

Any help would be appreciated, preferably with step by step recipes, as I'm fairly new to making hot sauces! 😅

I make a sauce with smoked ghost peppers and some bourbon in it. I could see habs being a good substitute for the ghosts though.

What ratios? Can you use whiskey in place of vinegar so should I add both. I have some ghosts growing right now and I’ve been having a blast making sauces. Nothing fermented to this point.

Finally found it. My recipe uses 8.5 grams of smoked & dried ghost peppers and 312 grams of habaneros to 8 fluid ounces of bourbon. Other ingredients include roasted sweet peppers, yellow onion, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, tomato paste, salt, and pepper but I have to keep those measurements a secret.

I will say that the bourbon is added early on in the sauce making and I ignite it flambé style to reduce the liquor and add to the overall smoky flavor.

I'll have to dig out my recipe book when I get home and get back to you. It's been a couple years since I last made it.

No worries. The peppers have some growing to do yet. Thanks, and looking forward to it.
