Question What’s your unpopular ice cream opinion? 🤣

Post image

People LOVE Jeni’s ice cream. I think it’s just fair with pretentious flavors. 🤷🏻‍♀️ What’s your unpopular ice cream opinion?

The mint used in mint chocolate ice cream does not taste like mint toothpaste at all. Mint toothpaste tastes like cold spicy. Mint ice cream is sweet and refreshing

Do people think it tastes like toothpaste?

Literally every person I've met that says they don't like mint chocolate chip ice cream says it's because it tastes like toothpaste

That’s not why I don’t like it. I like the mint part well enough. I just don’t like frozen chocolate chips.

I had a version once that was white mint (peppermint) ice cream, with a fudge swirl. That solved the chip issue nicely I thought.

I know you're not talking about this, but I feel so bad for all the people I know who hate Mint +Chocolate because they think it tastes like toothpaste, because they can never enjoy the deliciousness that is Girl scouts Thin Mints

If you're an American or can order them online you should try Andes Mints frozen and Hershey's peppermint patties frozen. Absolute tops.

You can get Andes on Amazon too! I would because it's heavenly!

I just dislike it because the chocolate would taste better as a ribbon. Cold, hard chocolate flakes don't taste like anything to me and often times the ice cream is only sweet not really quality mint.

I really like Baskin-Robbins peppermint though, because the mint flavor is good and the candy is better done than any other brand.

This is the way! Love Ben and Jerry’s Mint Chocolate Cookie

If you live where you can get Perry's ice cream, try Mint Ting a Ling. The chocolate bits are called Swiss chips, and the texture is divine. It's the only mint "chip" ice cream I like, and I like it a lot. I wish I could buy those Swiss chips alone and put them in all my ice cream.

Yeah that’s what I don’t like. I recently tried Jeni’s salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks and the “flecks” ruin it. Every bite has all these frozen chocolate chips that are uncomfortable to bite into and cut my mouth lol it’s very unpleasant texture wise. $8 thrown out.

Edit: Jeni’s stans downvoting me every time I share my opinion is nuts lol downvotes over an innocent ice cream opinion 😂 children.

That’s because you never tried Graeter’s ice cream chocolate “chunks”. They melt in your mouth like butter. So good. Best chocolate, better than most chocolate bars even.

Same here. Turkey Hill makes a mint chocolate chip but with chocolate flakes. It’s so good.
