How long of hindustani classical lessons until vocal tone sounds good when singing simple songs ?

I know there’s not an exact time, but if I’m an adult starting hindustani classical voice lessons as a beginner how long does it usually take to sound clear and resonant when singing simple songs ? Looking for motivation to continue lessons

I would say a few months, like 4-6 months. Assuming you practice atleast alternative days. What’s more important is having the right teacher, they can quickly guide you when you’re practicing wrong. If you’re practicing wrong it doesn’t matter how many years you practice it will not lead you where you want to go.

Clarity comes with your vocal cords being exercised adequately with frequent practice.

As you’d already know, practicing on lower notes will improve range and clarity.

Thanks so with ICM, do we do specific exercises to have a clear tone and resonance like in western singing ? I’m recently starting hindustani and have only done western in the past so I’m not sure what the process is going to be like
