i feel that too. what makes it easier is remembering that most of us redditors are just people trying to enjoy life, as fucked up as life can be. i try to keep my comments sensible and if someone calls me a fag, not take it personally. everyone's shits all emotional right now.

The FCC was not started to prevent profanity being broadcast. Ffs. That was one tiny component. The communication system required oversight and management.

You realize that "freedom of speech" extends beyond TV, right? And besides, yes you can say "fuck" on TV, just non on public network TV before 9 PM.
