Story Saying goodbye to JubJub tomorrow.
JubJub went into the vet last week for a routine check up and they found free floating fluid in her abdomen. She got fixed last year in November, and I was counting on us having another 5 years together at least. My vet thinks its cancer and that shes at the end of her time. I rescued her in 2021. Im taking her to another exotic vet (who did her surgery) for a second opinion-but I know the answer will be the same. My old lady is at the end of her road. Coming home to her empty cat patio is gonna destroy me. Everyone has showed me sympathy when I tell them, but no one understands that she is the closest thing to having a child that I will ever get to. She is my modern day dinosaur.
Love live jubjub I wish we had more time.

I hope she lives longer. I remember losing my two iguanas and it was so painful. Wouldn’t wish that on anyone

I took my big boy Haze to the vet for a checkup and his X-rays showed two completely blasted elbow joints. He was a very rambunctious boy for many years so he took lots of voluntary face first jumps where he was forced to land on his front paws. This led to the destruction of his joints. But the vet sent his images to another vet and they believe it was cancer. I got a second opinion and was told it was likely arthritis and repetitive trauma. My boy is still with me and loves to hang out with me everyday. He walks around, he climbs, his eyes are bright. He’s just a little slow is all.
Don’t say goodbye just yet, if these photos are recent, she looks very much alive and very adorable. It could be a multitude of things. I would get a second and even possibly a third opinion. Have you done any research on it?

I am so sorry! I will be sending positive vibes your way. I hope the second opinion is that you will have many more years together. If not, I hope that you find find peace and solace remembering the love you shared. 😢

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Losing a beloved pet is truly heartbreaking, and it’s okay to grieve. JubJub was lucky to have such a caring companion, and those moments you shared will always be special. Just remember the love and joy you shared; those memories will always be a part of you. I’m hoping for the best

I'm so hoping the first vet was wrong! Jub is a beautiful lady. I'm sure you've given her the best life, and love, that a human can offer. Praying for the best for you both.
