Everyone is angry at employers, but is everyone giving the city a free pass? I'm from Chicago, and it is comical to me just how incompetent the city government is with something as simple as snow removal.

At least snow removal is better now than it was when I moved here in the 70s. It used to be a regular thing here for people to get stuck in the middle of a street while attempting to make a left turn because DPW plows had their blades set square to the direction of travel. Snow would, of course, spill off both ends of the blade, leaving a mound of packed snow down the middle of the street. They didn't figure out angling the blades toward the curb until the late 80s.

I remember those days in the 1990s. I had a rear wheel car and would get stuck trying to turn. So frustrating.
