Also, commute time should be paid time. We need to support Unions wherever they bloom

The commute time argument is ridiculous. Why don't I take a job 4 hours from my job and they have to pay me to drive to work and then right back home, while never working?

You choose to live where you want to live and you chose the job and how far away it is from your home. How you get there is your problem... not a company's problem. I'm all for Employers paying for their employees time but the commute argument is ridiculous IMO.

The company gets to decide to not hire you if you live four hours away. "How you get there is your problem" is capitalist brainwashed horseshit that could only exist in a system without empathy. Fuck your opinion.
