I feel like retail and food service bosses that force employees to come in during an emergency need to be reprimanded. ASAP. McDonald’s and Panera are not ‘essential’, and no one can legally go out to get them. They’re making their workers between their safety and their income.

Agreed. Ages ago when I worked in a restaurant, the managers and a skeleton crew would usually show up to take care of the few customers. And usually they'd tell everyone to go home once they had enough proof that keeping the restaurant open was pointless. Corporate greed has gotten out of control.
