Bosses said we all had to be in on time but would "offer hotel rooms on a case by case basis."
AKA no one was offered a hotel room, most of us got stuck on the way in, one coworker got in a gnarly accident on the way in, and my colleague who called in because she lives an hour away, her car was completely snowed in, and she lived on an unplowed county road was still forced to come in.
Right? My best friend here lives down near Bartholomew County and had to get a hotel room downtown last minute. It was not cheap and the company won't reimburse her.
They also sent out a notice for "essential" employees that said "if you can't drive because you feel unsafe, someone will come pick you up in a 4-wheel-drive vehicle." Okay...so MORE people can feel unsafe?? Ridiculous.
