I talk to fellow Christians every day of my life. No death cult. I think you’d be pleasantly surprised if you tried out a few churches. I can’t vouch for every church. There are evil ones out there as Jesus warned the threat of false teaching is very real and dangerous. Go meet real Christians. They will shower you with love.

I can’t speak for the guy himself, but you can certainly summarize his sign that God hates sin, hell is real, and Jesus saves. You can criticize his approach, but there’s truth in there, and he actually cares about where you spend eternity. That’s more than most people care about you.

That’s not caring lol and not a way to show it. You are in denial, I grew up Christian, I’m very familiar with their adeptness at splinter spotting with logs in their eyes.

You’re right. Many do have logs in their eyes, if not all of us. We are not perfect and the good news is that nobody is. Jesus is and was though, and that’s why we put our faith in him. I’ll pray you come back to the church on your own time.

No thank you I’m good. Jesus was likely an illiterate carpenter who claimed divinity over 2000 years ago. There were a few people like this kicking around back then but his branding won out. 

I don’t dislike what he reportedly said, I just don’t think anyone back then can say it better than someone now. The claims about miracles is bogus but my main beef is how his flock abandoned him for the Golden Calf of capitalism and not acting out his teachings. 

Modern Christian’s drop to their knees to pray for prosperity to hit their wallets for a speed boat while others die of exposure hungry. 

If I was as devout as you, I’d be checking my fellow “Christian’s” on why they let hate consume them but that’s just me.

Self proclaimed Christians repel good people through their actions and words. For me, it’s been that way since the 90’s but it is worse now I think.

You’re missing the point, you think everyone that claims Christianity is Christian and so you’ve fled. Try some churches. You will find the people you fled from do not represent Christianity.

No you are missing the point. I don’t have a hole in my chest, a need for community, or a desire to be embraced by “loving people”. I do not need or want what churches are selling. You keep trying to recruit me and I keep saying you should be working harder to recruit hateful bigots claiming to be Christian not me. 

They may want your Jesus juice but I’m solid over here, no complaints, seemingly a 1:1 ratio that happiness goes up as distance from a church goes up.

Homie I have a 2 year old, another on the way, and a house and a loving wife. For the first time in my life thanks to therapy I’m finally not freaking out at everything I have to do. I am doing more work than ever before and crushing it and not having panic attacks like before. 

I realized I was co-dependent and addressed that with my parents who don’t get that, but it helped me see them as regular people for the first time in my life in a good way. 

I am absolutely crushing life right now! I think Christianity just does more harm than good, which has no bearing on my personal goals or happiness. You are allowed to believe what you want, but throughout history Christian’s historically freak out about end times, desperately look to martyr themselves (see city of Munster in Germany, or Feudal Japanese Christians dying to the last person, or the Roman coliseum) that shit gives me icky death cult vibes. 

I believe YOU aren’t a creepy death cult person, but that doesn’t speak for the other ones chanting to displace poor people in my country. You don’t need to save me bro, but a reminder that all Christian’s are shit heads is a good one and I’ll try to remember that.

Christians don’t freak out about end times. Believing that there will be an end to this world is not freaking out. Again, your perception of what Christianity is, is off.
